He said in three years Ayers would be the best defensive player in the draft

Yeah, cause he "flashed" once on a run play?

Eric Fisher was 3rd team RMAC as a junior. Then he's the best thing since sliced bread, because he shut Alex Okafor at the Senior Bowl? I hope dumb teams keep listening to that dude. More good players for us.

I rewatched the gif several times, there's so much confusion and offensive lineman all over the place getting absolutely owned. 71 got bulldozed, 79 (right tackle?) is confused, looking at the other side and not his own man. 61 looks like he is blocking a ghost while letting a linebacker blow past him.

The offense looked completely unprepared on that third down.

I don't think the chiefs make the playoffs but I can see them going 7-9. Middle of the pack order in the draft.

I think it was mostly his mullet's shadow doing the blocking, and that shadow blocks much better than the chiefs o-line, I might add.

QB starts in shotgun and by the time he hits 5 steps back, every single OL was beat. every single one. Here is the freeze-frame right before the explosion: 96 got there first. 94 was a fraction of a second behind, 91 had just shed his blocker and was in a footrace with the blitzing LB (58), and the other DT (#?) had just gotten around his man.

There isn't a single Chief OL between Smith and the DL...no one held their block, not one.

I know the Panthers have a great DL, but I believe we do too. Looking forward to seeing VonWareWolfe with a Pot Roast and Sly blowing this OL up.

They disguised their blitz so it's likely the protection called was wrong and you're watching everyone realize it at the same time.

Based on the expectations many around here have of Denver's first-rounders, this place would probably be razed to the ground if the situations were reversed.

No, I do understand. It's the Chiefs and we hate KCStud so much that everything Chiefs must be the worst thing on the planet.
Because he was terrible last year and looks terrible so far this year
Let's wait to see how he hold up before saying he made Albert expendable

I doubt you will be able to find even one Chief's fan who thought we played well last year

George Foster effect. Some people thought he was good so extending the same olive branch to Fisher. Fisher probably has more upside or at least is expected to do better right off the bat. A starter doesn't make them a good player. Just means they have nothing else better now or in the future so might as well stick your wasted pick out on the line. Good luck with that Chiefs.

I didn't say Fisher was a bust, just that he sucked last year and has a long way to go

Simply starting is not necessarily an achievement. You have to look at the two situations. By default of his draft status Fisher was going to start. The writing was on the wall for Albert as well as the Chiefs FO were cutting him regardless.

Fisher had no competition last year at RT, and has no competition this year at LT. They are also starting a 6th rounder at G this year. Their line has the potential to be the worst in the league this year.

Saying Sly somehow was worse because he couldn't beat out two quality NFL starters(one of which a pro bowl caliber player) is disingenuous.

completely different scenarios for completely different caliber teams

Ok my turn.
Find one person who thought Fisher played well last year?
Even the most ardent of Chief homers admit this guy was a flop last year.

I don't really understand what your point is. You want us to bag on Sylvester Williams more?

A Chiefs fan posts a gif of a Chiefs player sucking in a thread called "The Chiefs Suck" and you want us to come to the Chiefs players defense? It isn't like Broncos fans are saying Charles is overrated - they are criticizing a player who has been regarded as underachieving by just about everyone. Broncos fans criticisms of Fisher haven't been nearly as harsh as Chiefs fans have been. The guy was taken #1 over all and looked bad last year. He looks even worse this year in preseason.

I'm just not getting where you are going with this.

Pretty sure they're on their 2nd 10+ page thread on CP dissing the guy. I haven't seen enough of the guy to state that he's a bust or not, but from what I've heard, he doesn't sound very good.

He probably needs a full offseason working on his upper body strength, which he couldn't do this year because of injury.

Well, start a "Sly Sucks" thread and we can hash it out.

I think they gained 18 yards on that play.

Or so says a Chiefs fan.

Well, you just need to take a few hours and come up with an official Rev Approved list of players Broncos fans are and are not allowed to make fun of. Make sure their are plenty of graphs and charts because we are an ignorant lot and we are lost without your guidance.

p.s. Keep the rock. You can put in the place you get most of your opinions from.

Not just for Fisher but that whole O-Line is going to be fun to play against twice this year.

Sly was #28 overall, a far cry from #1.

Fisher ain't no Clady, so I can bust on him all I want... and you'll like it.

Plus, this is a Chiefs suck thread. Why would we bag on Broncos here? I do think we have bagged on those Broncos players that have sucked at where they have been picked. We have been an equal opportunity "opinion expert" for both teams. Fisher sucking would be like Broncos whiffing on Von Miller pick after winning 4 games the previous season. It is amazing how Chiefs turned it around from the previous season. BUT, we also know how Chiefs have been a team that goes back to normal once their schedule gets tougher. Yo Yo effect.
