E.J. Manuel - QB - Player

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Browns, Bills, and Jets have all expressed interest in trading up into the bottom portion of the first round.
Presumably, these three teams all value a quarterback in the draft, but they don't feel comfortable enough in taking one with their respective top-ten picks. Instead, they would like to wheel and deal to work themselves back into the first round ahead of the Jaguars at pick No. 33. There's a strong chance that all four of Geno Smith, E.J. Manuel, Matt Barkley, and Ryan Nassib are available in the 20-32 range.

Eric Fisher - T - Player

A source with knowledge of the team's plans tells Profootballtalk the Chiefs will select Central Michigan LT Eric Fisher with the No. 1 pick.
This report mercifully avoids the semantics of who's been "informed" of what. There will undoubtedly be more conflicting reports between now and when Commissioner Roger Goodell steps to the podium to announce Kansas City's pick, but the evidence that Fisher will go ahead of Texas A&M's Luke Joeckel has become overwhelming.

Tavon Austin - WR - Player

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports the Rams could trade up from No. 16 to No. 13 if the Jets pass on West Virginia WR Tavon Austin at No. 9.
Such a move would get the Rams their man, while keeping the Jets in position to snag an impact player. The Rams would likely have to surrender the No. 46 pick in such a scenario, which would be a steep price to move up just three spots. It would be an impetus to auction off the No. 22 pick to the highest bidder.

Ah....no. If Lacy is there we may nab him, but I don't think we trade up for him.

Branden Albert - T - Chiefs

ESPN's Ed Werder reports the Dolphins and Chiefs have shelved talks for disgruntled LT Branden Albert until after both teams make their first-round picks.
Both Werder and NFL.com's Ian Rapoport hint there's a chance the Dolphins will trade up to select one of the draft's big-three tackles, so the Chiefs are rolling the dice. A desperate Jeff Ireland is capable of anything, so we wouldn't rule out a move up from No. 12 into the top-five. It is unlikely, however.

You would think that the Chiefs have to take Fisher to save value. Fisher is open to playing RT.

Time to change this: Over past 9 years, Raiders are only NFL that has not drafted a Pro-Bowl player in first round.

Raiders came within two minutes of taking CB D.J. Hayden with No. 3 pick

Sign of times: Last time a running back wasn’t drafted in 1st round was 1963, when the NFL and AFL held separate drafts.

SEC had 12 1st round picks, tying the record for most 1st picks by a conference. ACC also had 12 1st round picks in 2006 draft.

Raiders are a lesson in futility. What did they say on NFL.com about their dead money yesterday, $45 million? Geez.

Their roster is about as devoid of talent as it gets in the NFL.

It's going to take Reggie McKenzie 3 or 4 very solid drafts and a few years of smart free agent signings to turn that mess around.

They don't have room for error....they need to hit on their drafts and free agent signings in order to even be competitive in the near future.

Al Davis left that team a mess....I don't think Dennis Allen is ready for the challenge of turning them around and I doubt Mark Davis will have the patience to let him try past next season.

Mark Davis needs to give Reggie McKenzie a good 4 years to let him implement his plan, which started with the roster purge and current rebuilding process.

There's no way around it....it's going to take some time to turn that franchise around and get them on the right track.

Guess so

Broncos appear to be all about BPA. Will be interesting to see how the 2nd round falls.

Kiper has an entire year to do nothing but draft duties. He picked only one right in the 1st round.

If Geno can't handle not getting picked in the 1st round, how is he going to handle the NY media.

I'm still curious to see what they're going to do with Tebow.
