Nailed it...

"I've often had people ask me, "How can so many people be duped by Trump's lies, b.s., and propaganda?"

My answer is usually the same: Always remember, when Hitler rose to power, a lot of his supporters knew exactly who and what he was -- and that's why they supported him. He wasn't coming after them, he was going after people not like them. People they didn't want to be part of "their Germany."

Much like how a brown haired Austrian convinced millions of Germans that the "master race for Germany" should be blonde haired and blue eyed, Trump's convinced millions of ordinary, poor and middle class Americans, especially from rural and southern parts of the United States, that some self-serving narcissistic billionaire with almost no record of him ever attending church, who's had affairs on every single one of his wives (all 3 of them) who was born into a wealthy family from New York City, is a "devout Christian," "champion of the people" and "understands the struggles of everyday Americans."

He's telling them what they want to hear. He's vilifying the people they want to, at least partially, blame for their problems. He's preying on their emotions and pandering to them by telling them whatever they want to hear, no matter how untrue it is.

They know he's an adulterer who treats women like garbage. They know he's a racist. They know he's a bigot. They know he's a vile, horrific bottom-feeder who'll rip children from their families, then lie about it, blaming Democrats for his own policy. They know he'd rather condemn groups that show up to protest against Nazis and the KKK than condemn the Nazis and the KKK, themselves.

They know what kind of atrocious, disgusting lowlife the real Donald Trump is -- and that's exactly why they support him."

Trump lied so many times this week that it took an entire article to cover them all:

At rallies across the country this week, President Donald Trump uttered multiple blatantly false statements meant to stoke his base.

I have zero respect for anyone that still supports this guy. He is stupid, he is dishonest, he is morally bankrupt and he is only in this thing for himself. Not to mention he is a traitor towards this country.

Donald Trump has tweeted an unsubstantiated claim from an hardline Iranian cleric and circulated by a news agency linked to the country’s Revolutionary Guard, that thousands of Iranians were granted US citizenship as part of the 2015 nuclear deal.

In his 8am tweet, the US president said: “Just out that the Obama administration granted citizenship, during the terrible Iran Deal negotiation, to 2,500 Iranians, including to [sic] government officials. How big (and bad) is that?”

He cited no evidence for the allegation.

The only surprise here is that Tiki Torch Boy hasn't already started a thread about it.

When Sean Hannity and Alex Jones are your only "news" sources, you're going to miss a few things...

President Trump has made 3,001 false or misleading claims so far

Seriously man, you don't think he's ever lied once? Wow, you definitely are living in serious delusion, at a very unhealthy level. Every President has lied (obviously Trump has lied by far the most) and I mean all of them have. I don't think one person on this forum besides you would be so bold to suggest that Trump has never once lied in office. Just a major 'WOW'. He really got you hook line and sinker. How many copies of 'The Art Of The Deal' did you buy? Be honest, more than 10?

There are a bunch of evangelicals in America who think Trump was placed in office by God to end Roe v Wade. Other than that, they don't care what he does.

Trump lies at all-time high, makes 103 false claims in one week

President Trump's lying is off the chart, even for him. He nearly doubled his previous weekly record.

Fifteen lies per day.

That's President Trump's new record. Last week, he made 103 false claims — nearly double his previous high.

"Trump is incessantly inaccurate, but that number is still remarkable," says the "Toronto Star," which continues to keep its running total of Trump's lying. "To put it in perspective: he uttered fewer than 100 false claims in eight of his first ten months in office. His previous average had been 101 per month." The "Star" noted that his previous record had been 60 falsities per week.

A potential explanation for the increased lying is that Trump talked a lot more in public last week. He made widely covered speeches in Minnesota, Nevada and to the National Federation of Independent Businesses. And he's tweeting more. The "Washington Post" had previously reported that Trump was tweeting — and lying — at an increasing rate this month. On June 19, they said he was tweeting 11.3 times a day, a record for him.

"One might ask, Would National Socialism have survived beyond 1936 or '37, had Joesph Goebbels or Hermann Göring taken the reins from Hitler? To me, the question seems rhetorical. The party required the unique debauchery of its principal founder; no substitute would have sufficed. And that provides an insight into the future of Trumpism as a 'compelling ideological basis for the Republican Party in the future.' Without Trump, Trumpism will recede into the rancid squalidness of, say, Bircherism, a kind of conservative embarrassment that hated damn near everyone."

Tony Schwartz, who shared the authorship credit with Trump for The Art of the Deal, hit back at the president’s boast on Tuesday about taking pride in “my ability to write” and having penned “many best selling books.”

“He is incapable of reading a book, much less writing one,” Schwartz tweeted on Wednesday. The author had previously revealed to The New Yorker that he had written all of 1987′s Art of the Deal.

There was a really good article in the NYT the other day saying that Republicans now favor Authoritarian-ship over Democracy as long as they are anti-minority. They will gladly give away their freedoms.

No president in history has ever acted like this.

Trump's speech on Thursday night contained a number of genuinely dangerous lines, lines no president before Trump would even considering uttering among a small group of friends -- much less in front of thousands of people. Below, then, are the 11 most dangerous lines Trump said last night -- and why each one poses a real risk to the body populace.
