The only justification for JK's decisions is in the name of tanking for a franchise player in the draft. In the NBA you can always make the case for that strategy. The Nuggets were terrible for over a decade when they finally drafted Carmelo Anthony which led to a decade of making the playoffs and losing in the first round. There seems to be a power shift happening in the NBA... it'd have been nice to see what Ujiri and Karl could have done in this window.

For Karl the Nuggs roster was a good fit at the time. But it was never going get them to the promised land.
Only a few coaches would be able win with that roster.

Letting Ujiri leave was a bad decision and not retooling the roster when Shaw came aboard was even worse.
It was a bad decision to Ujiri leave, but he's also the one that left them with no real roster flexibility because of the contracts he signed guys to.

Josh stinks.

Shaw completely blew, and he didn't deserve any more time either. It's like Fox. Despite his record in the regular season, he was never going to win a Super Bowl with the Broncos. There are other issues Elway has to address, but that doesn't let Fox off the hook. The Nuggets have a ton of issues, doesn't mean Shaw should be allowed to stick around until everything else is perfect to see how he'd do.

I know, that's what I said. They were built for a great regular season run and then nothing else. Kind of like the old Mavs and Suns teams. They were exciting but had no substance.

Part of that was a refusal from ownership to tear everything down and rebuild. They wanted to get a ton of young talent back but all they really managed to do was hurt the Knicks so that they would never flourish and in the process did the same to themselves.

You traded a super star with next to nothing around him for no superstars with no chance for one to elevate themselves into one.

Nuggets a team to be feared?

Once more, only by their HC.

it wasn't all on Shaw, of course, but he was useless. not just bad, but actively useless. a pylon could have coached this team more effectively. good riddance.

I fear the Nuggets do worse than Orlando.

What a GAME!!!!

http://www.denverpost.com/nuggets/ci...off-late-rally

Nuggets stun Golden State, holding off late rally by Curry, Warriors

Danilo Gallinari scores 28 points for Denver

Huge night.

The Nuggets became just the third team to beat the Warriors this season, 112-110 on Wednesday in a Pepsi Center full of fans that won't soon forget this night.

The Nuggets won't either.

Nuggets Mailbag: Pose a question for Christopher Dempsey

"When you beat the best team in the NBA it's always a quality win," Nuggets coach Michael Malone said. "I couldn't be prouder of our guys. They deserve all the credit going out there and playing for 48 (minutes)."

The playoff road starts today!!

The inbound pass should've went to Curry coming off the pic for an open 2, not Thompson for a bad 3 at the end.
