So you hate a guy that hit six home runs in the 2009 postseason, resulting in a World Series championship.

No. I hate the guy who has always been probably the most talented baseball player on the planet and yet the most insecure superstar in the world.

I get that there's some reason he doesn't wish to be here anymore and that's fine, but there are still people here who are friendly with him and hope to hear he is doing well.

He is doing well...and he won't be back. We just got back from Charleston a couple of weeks ago! I am just here on occasion...and because I wanted to send a message to Falconer about Sam...there are also my reasons for not being here...but there are a few people on here that the only way to get ahold of them is by sending them a message thru the board.
Hope you are doing well! He is on fb if you want to get ahold of him.

Not good at all and you are so right about Richards. I hope Skaggs is doing well too because we could use him too!

I expect the pitching and defense to hold up, they have 3 top starters, plus 2 quality arms and Minor if he can ever shake off his shoulder issues. After the last couple of years of the HR/strikeout at bat, it's weird to see the team hit to contact. It's not small ball, but OBP-ball.

Ok mr knee jerk...you're an idiot.

Regardless, i've been saying since the pickup, porcello will be the number 1 by the end of the year, if not sooner. Got to go to the home opener for the first time since i was like 10 today. Perfect weather, near perfect game. You all are just playing for 2nd place.

If you're relying on Porcello as the 1, then Boston is going home early.

Has nothing to do with knee-jerk, i dont see how the SP's they have now with all the assets they have mean dont trade for an ace.

I may not watch a game all year!

The recaps are good though.

It's the very definition of "knee jerk" when you (1) make a snide comment on one start while ignoring the other lights out performance last week and (2) make a generic comment on the entire staff the first week of the season before teams even really know what they have.

It's not like the trade deadline is tomorrow. They've got months to stick with these guys and see exactly what they have while maintaining their ridiculous depth. If nobody steps up or they start sliding, THEN you make a move. Pretty basic stuff here.

Buchholtz remains the #1
Porcello has a lot of potential.
Our pitching staff so far has proven better than I thought they would be, however at this stage it's way too early to be making any kind of predictions.
There's a lot of baseball yet to be played.
One game at a time, sir!

Hell yes.

I love beating the Giants!

They've got to start getting longer outings from their starters though. Bergman out after 4 innings? The Rockies are now on pace for a record number of bullpen innings in a season. Even more than they used last year! Ugh.

We are going out to Colorado when the Angels are in town. The one guy I want my kids to meet is Arenado. He is from my town/high school and is such a stud at a very young age.

At that price, I would wish him back in Anaheim if he doesn't cry to Scioscia about being pulled in a game. I still have his jersey hanging in my closet and won't wear it until he retires or returns to the Angels.

That's a bit much... He did the Angels some serious good when he was there.

The Deeetroit Tigers are off to a 9-1 start.

At lease he didn't call his wife a lazy b**** while she was undergoing cancer treatments because she didn't cook for him.

Cardinals beat the Reds, 5-2, behind a 6 inning, 1 run performance from Carlos Martinez. Cards pitching has been very good thus far.
