You still have to develop them. Plenty of talent falls in every draft. Without development it means nothing and those teams made it mean everything to their franchise.
Sure, but some guys have it and some don't. There's no rhyme or reason to this **** sometimes. A lot is luck

The Packers have a track record of developing QB's since Favre and even well before him. It's not luck.

We can agree to disagree on that.

Rote, Starr, Dickey, Majkowski, Favre, Rodgers & Flynn(though he bombed out).

Nothing to disagree about. They develop QB's.

First off... about going back to the 1950s.

Secondly... about Majkowski.

Third... about Flynn.

Yes, there's a lot of luck involved. Plus, even if I humored the above, its not like the same people are in charge. So unless there's something magical in the Green Bay water, i'd say its luck.

Thank God for Chip Kelly.

This Bradford deal is fun as hell.

Brunell and hasselback are def. better examples. Maybe I'm wrong, perhaps Ron Wolf is the QB whisperer. But bringing up guys from 1950 doesn't prove anything to me.

But, still, there's luck involved with getting those HOF QBs. I dont think there's a secret sauce.

All encompassing the franchise as a whole. They have 3 HOF QB's in Starr, Favre and Rodgers(he is going in). That is a franchise that develops QB's.

Over the span of 50 years, you think this means something? This is one of the sillier non-Chrissy takes I've seen on this board of late.

It is luck that the arguably number 1 pick drops to you in mid 20s. He passed so many qb starved teams.

Do people not remember what the narrative on Rodgers was when he came out?

Will be nice if Pats lose both Revis and Browner, which is looking possible.

At least we can take solace in the fact that we didn't pass on him.

Yes just another Tedford bust. He easily would have beat Smith out if people weren't weary about Tedford. Boller, Harrington, Akili, Dilfer.
