Default Lone bright spot today - Josey Jewel

Dude had the best pass break up by anyone on D today and was a force in the run game.

I think in the 3rd quarter he got behind the LOS on a run play and ran the RB down from behind for a loss. Stuffed a bunch of other runs for little to no gain. Also read the plays well.

This guy can ball.

Made a few good plays in pass defense too, huge upgrade over Marshall.

I think Jewell had a nice game. I also think Chubb did well. Got a sack, was in the backfield numerous other times.

The rest of the DL played like a-hole. Wolfe and Gotsis particularly were terrible. Got their ass knocked off the ball or rode out of the play all day long. Gatsis just wants to pass rush, jumped himself out of the run hole on 1st down several times throwing a swim move opening a hole so big you could drive a bus through it. He has majorly regressed OR Woods is calling a really ****ed up scheme on defense, 1st down.

It's a privilege to rush the passer. You have to play the run first. Apparently we don't understand this.

Chubb, Jewell, Freeman all had a good game.

Butt had a few decent catches.

That's about all I can think of.

Broncos' best player was on special teams - Joe Jones. Blocked a punt, good coverage when we punted.

Good point on Gotsis, I saw him rush himself out of the play on 1st down a couple times too.

As much as I liked Walker at FSU, he was and is a terrible fit in 3-4 at DE. At best he could forge a Montae Reagor type career as situational pass rusher in 4-3.

Only reason Elway isn't cutting him is he already has blown through cutting his 2 3rd round picks from last year and doesn't want to hear it from the media.

It's still stupid to deactivate him every week. He can play as a situational pass rusher which Denver badly needs. Its a continuation of nonsensical moves concerning walker. It's like the staff picked him high just so they could sabotage his career through consistent misuse and non use

I'm sure the team is holding him A because they don't want to cut him and hear it from the media. The other thing is Wolfe has not been the picture of health. Can easily imagine a situation where he gets hurt, misses time and Walker gets to come in and be part of rotation.

I agree him on inactive list is a joke but just think it's easier than answering media questions how they blew their 1st 3 rounds worth of pics and most are off the roster half way through year 2. It's a legitimate point. Our drafts outside of 18' has been a joke most recently.

Wolfe was getting smashed off the ball today. I'm sure the Ravens OL is decent but Wolfe looks like 60-70% of what he used to be. Another guy who is probably gone come next year. Throw him in the pile with Stewart, DT, Marshall who all need to move on next year. Getting paid off their rep from SB50, not actually producing anything, anymore.

Why is Jewell coming in over Marshall. Why not Davis?

I mean I despise both of our ILBs but I would leave Marshall out there over Davis in a heartbeat

I would rather see Walker out there in the nascar package over Wolfe.

I’m not trying to sound hurtful, but did you watch the first three games? BM has been awful. He’s worse than Davis and that is not saying much. We need two decent ILB. I don’t know if Jewell is the answer, but I can see why they are substituting BM for Jewell. They have to try something.
