I mean, the writers had no problem killing Thor in this episode. In typical Mets fashion, he made a noble stand and went down in flames.

I'm assuming Jaime is captured. In which case I think they would've been better served with a simple capture scene upon retreat vs the whole suicide charge.

The battle lost more credibility the longer the main players waltzed around the inferno easily picking each other out and framing everything in personal terms.

Like I was saying last week. It's a battlefield soap at this point. Still entertaining. Just don't waste your time putting much thought into it. It's only getting shallower from here.

Damn it. Don't air the leaked **** on me. This is hard enough as it is.

And if he's not captured, credibility just took yet another shot to the pills.

One, if not both of these two characters should have died. These writers would have pardoned Ned Stark, had Renly survive the shadow assassin, and ensured that Rob and Caitlyn came out of the Red Wedding alive. When you put characters in these situations and they continue to miraculously come out unscathed, it completely undercuts the show.
But I want to see a Jamie-Dany face to face. I'd like to see Jamie really get under her skin and test her discipline. Jamie has to be a a point where it's just time to give 0 ****s now. Also to see a Jamie-Tyrion reunion would be cool too. This is just the kind of stuff I'd like to see for entertainment purposes.

This series to me right now is very reminiscent of when Brandon Sanderson took over Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time after he passed. Books and books of intrigue and occasional action but then Sanderson had to power it towards to the goal line in 3 books so it was constant action. Not bad (in fact I loved it) but less "deep."

Did they have a gap between Bronn stating he wanted Highgarden to them being attacked by Dany? If not then they need to get rid of the flux-capacitor they have built into Drogon.

Maybe Bran did see this and is waiting for the right time. So when Littlefinger was talking about chaos and Bran interrupted him by saying chaos is a ladder. Maybe Bran is talking about Littlefinger is using chaos as a ladder for him to achieve his goal of the iron throne?
I don't think Bran really cares about Littlefinger and his machinations at this point. His identity has been overwhelmed by the whole 3e Crow thing. He barely identifies as Bran Stark anymore. His only motivation seems to be in finding some way to stop the Walkers.

There was. They started with Highgarden in the backround and ended with a river and kings landing in front of them. And depending on how you reckon it, its about 760 miles between the two. So...if you are doing 30/mi a day you'd get from HG to KL in 25 or so days.

in reality has any battle every made any sense? For all the great generalship they throw out about the characters most appear clueless when comes to any battlefield tactics or show no common sense.

Lore in the GOT Universe says there are 3 Dragon riders....theory is that Snow and Tyrion are the two.

I kinda giggle every time I see her piloting a dragon. The physics of the whole thing just seem a bit cheesy.

3 dragons?
isn't one already dead, and now another injured ?
and as long as we are talking dragons why all the focus on reality and physics ?
just enjoy the show !
from a simple hand to hand between two women,
to a full on battlefield with archers on horses and queens on dragons,
this episode delivered and left us with a dandy cliff hanger !
and WHO saved Jaime ?
the ambiguity was deliberate !
as for none of the characters dying...
can you blame the writers?
look what happened when they killed john snow !

All three dragons are still alive. The beach scene included a shot with all three in the same frame.

Agree that this epp was top-to-bottom awesome!!

We got 2 hints in that episode.

Drogon let Jon pet him. And the annulment that Sam was not paying any attention to.

She is, yes. Which is gross. But at this point...whatever. Bang. Don't bang. Just kill Cersei before she has Bronn killed.

I'm way too invested in this show. If littlefinger gets the best of arya, I won't know what to do with myself.

At least we have The Avengers of the north headed to fight some dead
