Default Sloter vs Kelly, who would you take right now?

I'm having a hard time making this choice.

I'm going Kelly though.

I only listened to a bit of the 2nd half, but Sloter for me. I teach at UNC though.

He has a cool story, that's for sure. I'm pulling for the guy.

I like the tenacity Kelly brings to the field he reminds me of Jake Plummer.

Both should be Broncos, but i like Kelly more, QB's with a gunslinger mentality and dont care about picks are ones i like.

Sloter’s smarts clinch it for me. Both have the potential to be really good though. Sloter and Kelly should be duking it out for the Broncos starter job right now in my opinion.

Well one QB is still on the team for now, so we gotta go with him.

But I’d take both.

Keenum Sloter Kelly looks a lot better than Keenum Lynch Kelly.

Why is Kelly in this coversation? The poll should be Sloter vs Lynch, with a heavy lean to Sloter.

Obviously. The Vikings had no qualms keeping a QB they didn't draft on their roster because he could play. Elway seems more interested in spit shining his turd picks. That was one of the worst things about Shanahan. Don't try and make yourself right.

My gut feeling is Kelly has a higher ceiling, and has a pro football pedigree in the family. Sucks we kept that piece of garbage Lynch, he sucks so bad and it was 150% obvious 12 months ago...

After last night game, I like Swag more if both were still on the team.

Both have looked as good as the best of this year's 1st round picks, so this is a dumb take.

This...chose Kelly cause he is a Bronco. Definitely would take Sloter. And take Kelly and Sloter over Lynch.

I'd take Kelly, but it's close.

I don't think Sloter was that great last night. Our db was too busy tripping on himself to make a play on the jump ball TD. Not to mention our playcalling was retarded. We line up for the blitz, call a timeout, and then run the exact same play after Minny is clearly ready for it.

The bootleg run was a joke too. Zero awareness on defense. Sloter clearly wasn't going to slide. Our D should have lit him up.

Neither looks as good as Mayfield or Darnold have looked, so as backups, who cares?

What the heck did Darnold do better? His TD was nice but everything else was meh. I don't see him fitting the ball into any tight windows like Kelly did. Mostly wide open receivers.

Mayfield was good but people need to relaxed. There was plenty to work on in that performance.

Kelly will be our starter after next year. So I’ll lean to him but I love Sloterhousebloodbath. Fun to watch Both and should still Both be Broncos.

Damnit.

That “great back shoulder pass” should’ve been a pick six against a real defense.

I guess you aren't factoring in how good he was in preseason last year. Through five preseason games:

40/54
482 yards
4 passing TD's
0 picks
1 rushing TD
125.7 passer rating

Kelly looked pretty good last night, and definitely flashed some real talent. That said, he hasn't matched Sloter in terms of preseason performances. Not even close. Ultimately I'm curious to see what these guys can do in games that count, assuming they eventually get a shot.

Huh? Sloter looked better than either multiple times last year and was spot on last night outside of one bad pass. Kelly was easily just as good as Mayfield or Darnold last night.

Were Sloter or Kelly playing against starters?
