Default Veldheer

We traded a 6th round pick for Veldheer this summer.

Going from Watson to Veldheer at RT, is one of the biggest upgrades on the entire roster. So far this preseason he has 0 pressures. ZERO.

In addtion, he has taken Bolles under his wing.

“He’s brilliant smart,” Bolles said about Veldheer. “He knows everything. He brings that smartness and helps me understand everything. I’ve just got to continue to trust him and know that he’s going to help me continue to craft my game.”

“Jared Veldheer is a leader,” Bolles said earlier this month during mini-camp. “He’s worked with me every single day.

He is a big reason the Oline has improved, and I'm excited to see what Keenum can do behind these guys.

In fairness, Forrest Gump would seem brilliant smart to Garrett Bolles.

In an 8 year career, he's missed 27 games. In the last 2 years, he's missed 11. He's mulled retirement. When he plays and is relatively healthy, he is a solid tackle.

Your posts have been so negative over the past few months. To the point where most don't consider them worthy of consideration. I think you need to move on to another team and root for someone that has front office, coaching and players worthy of you.

I have Wolf on ignore and so should all of you. He's a hysterical tantrum thrower that just hates anything the Broncos do and actively looks for anything he can rip on in anyway. And he does it with the hysterics and typing ability of a nine year old; Put him on ignore and it will level-up your Mane browsing experience.

Speaking to Veldheer, he's been very good. I have been saying this, the offensive line even when we won 2015 was in shambles and teams everywhere have seen a decline in play due to the new practice rules. Elway, for all the **** a very vocal minority here give him as a GM, as drafted and signed players to upgrade the position and it's absolutely working. The line has given our players lots of time this preaseason, and they are getting to the second level in the running game. They are big and stout and I'm very optimistic about what they can do going forward.

I’ll also add that he’s helped McGovern significantly. McGovern was making some big plays last game as well, and I think a lot of that has to do with Veldheer competently playing RT. The only lineman I noticed really f-ing up was Garcia (go figure). Garcia seems to always be a “one step forward, two steps back” kind of guy.

If we could manage to keep Leary and Veldheer healthy, it would be a boon to our offense and I could really see us finishing with a top 15 unit, maybe just out of the top 10. Not that rankings are important, but I think the offensive production will be absolutely necessary so our D doesn’t get too tired and exposed at DB.

The Veldheer signing was significant for many reasons, hope he stays healthy.

Definitely worth what they gave up for him just based on locker room presence alone. If he can hold down the RT spot for most or all of the year he was a steal.

Nice to see that big guy doing so well. It has been tough to suffer through some of the disappointments we have had over the last 4 years trying to fill those tackle spots. Hope he continues to have a great influence on Bolles.

I watched the Cardinals preseason game last week (with there home team announcers) and they we're mentioning the need to totally rebuild the offensive line. They made it sound like they had no intention of bringing Veldeer back. Granted compared to what we've the past few years he's an considerable upgrade.
