![]() With my 2nd pick I'll take:
Julius Erving (Dr J) Julius Erving, the great and wondrous "Dr. J," was the dominant player of his era, an innovator who changed the way the game was played. He was a wizard with the ball, performing feats never before seen: midair spins and whirls punctuated by powerful slam dunks. Erving was one of the first players to make extemporaneous individual expression an integral part of the game, setting the style of play that would prevail in the decades to follow. A gracious, dignified, and disciplined man, Erving was the epitome of class and an ideal ambassador for the game. ![]() With my Second Pick I select:
THE ICEMAN George Gervin ![]() George Gervin's playing record speaks volumes. Only Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan have won more league scoring championships than Gervin's four, and he was the first guard ever to win three titles in a row. His career scoring average of 26.2 points per game is among the game's best as is his combined NBA/ABA total of 26,595 points. During his career, Gervin recorded a remarkable streak of scoring double figures in 407 consecutive games. And he twice placed second in voting for the regular-season MVP Award. But these numbers only begin to tell the story of Gervin's phenomenal pro career. more... ![]() One more thing....can we limit the additional info on these posts. I know how great Bill Russell is, I don't need 5 consecutive posts about him. A pic and some stats will suffice.

![]() I agree. I was going to post this earlier, but didn't want to break anybody's balls on a fun thread. But yeah, can we keep this stuff to a minimum?

![]() Sure, I agree with the limiting of the descriptions to just one post. If we really want to brag and push our guy I will go ahead and start an All time NBA draft discussion thread.
Also, I have another guy coming in to replace mangoblin. He will make his first pick and then his second pick will be in mangoblin's regular slot. MP, thanks for the organizing help with the repost of the draft order. |

![]() Hey, BobHorry5 is the new member of the draft. Since he missed the first round he'll make his selection now, then he is up again after Ludo makes his selection.
Here he is, he's posting on my post for now, but will post on his own account once the mods approve him. Take it away BobHorry5: My pick is Moses Malone, because Moses can do so many things. Moses Malone, PF/C, Houston, Portland, Philadelphia |

![]() I knew he was there and would of taken him or DROB but I think DROB is a C and Malone is more of a PF. If we do a tourney on whatifsports I think it will take stats into account which doesn't always tell the whole story.
