It's really all there is to it. The jersey is awful. Nuggets have a problem with their logo(pitch fork) that doesn't represent anything interesting and/or nobody cares.

The alternates should be better as they can't be any worse.
It's a pick-axe and it represents miners.

I just want to thank the Nuggets again for trading with the Jazz. Donavan Mitchell looks like a stud that was a steal at 13. Hope you enjoy having Trey Lyles cheering on the bench the next 2 years.

Bwahahahahahahahahaha!!!

Plus Gordon Hayward is the Alex Smith of basketball. Just good enough to get the fan's hopes up but then get your team beat.

It really wasn't THAT bad a summer for the Jazz.

(crossing fingers and being unreasonably optimistic for a long time fan of a Jazz team that has managed to **** up every good thing it has ever had)

Life is hard in the NBA. He had to pick up a side job to help make ends meet.

Supposedly also includes Crowder and picks. Be interesting to see if Cleveland can pry the '18 Brooklyn or '18 Lakers/'19 Kings pick from Boston.

Not sure why cleveland does this, unless the pick is really attractive.

If it winds up being Irving for Thomas, Crowder, Zizic, a pick... it might be attractive?

Thomas is coming off a bad hip injury, i suppose crowder is decent depth, I don't think Zizic will be worth much to them. So it depends on that pick

That's why I mentioned the Brooklyn pick and the Lakers/Kings pick.

If the Cavs are conceding that LeBron is probably gone after the season, this trade makes sense assuming they can get one of those premium picks. Thomas and Crowder help them this season, with Thomas coming off the books along with LeBron after the season. Crowder has a good value contract for another couple seasons that they might be able to move for something once the season's over. And they'd have a nice pick to build for the future. Thomas and Irving are both bad on D, with Thomas probably being slightly worse. On offense, it's probably a wash, though if you buy into the advanced metrics stuff Thomas supposedly had one of the most efficient offensive seasons in NBA history. Thomas/Crowder > Irving, probably, though still not enough to catch up with GS.

Thomas completely healthy maybe, but they don't know what they're gonna get from him.

ESPN reporting it's close to a done deal. Cavs get Thomas, Crowder, Zizic and a future 1st (though no specifics yet on what 1st).

EDIT: Woj reporting that the teams are on a conference call with the league office. Deal is done.

Apparently it's the Brooklyn pick. Nice haul for Cleveland if true, given the circumstances. They can still compete this season and possibly be in line for Bagley or Porter in the draft.

EDIT: beat me to it.

I'm calling it. LBJ walks, Cavs extend max to IT, then they draft prob a lotto player with Nets pick.

We are prepared to rebuild on the fly. Ayyy!

I doubt they extend IT if LeBron walks. Where would that get them? Probably go full rebuild.

So if you're a Celtics fan, would you rather have Irving or Butler? Given what they surrendered for Irving, they certainly could've trumped Minnesota's package and probably given up less. Both have two years remaining on their current deals. Irving is the more dynamic offensive player, but Butler is no slouch, plus he plays top defense.

Good question. I think Irving is a better version of a completely healthy IT. But I figured the Celts would want to hold on to Zizic to rectify their horrible rebounding.

I think its a decent move for the Cavs, all things considered (though i think LeBron will walk after this year). But if Thomas is healthy, they have that scorer, a nice bench piece in crowder, zizic to relieve Thompson, and that pick. Could be worse

Those Nugs jerseys are horrendous. So boilerplate you have to wonder if it was the first draft.

Bring back the rainbows, dammit.

Now that I think about it, the problem with Butler would've been that Boston already has a logjam of wings.

Yeah, Butler, Tatum, and Hayward would be a lot.

Its a curious move for Boston, though it has the potential to put up loootttts of points. They still have an interior D/rebounding problem, which Zizic could have helped with.
