Fritsche might be a possible signing as well. There was a rumor that he was going to bolt to the OHL after this past World Junior Championships. |

![]() We've done an NFL draft, and we're doing an MLB draft; why not an NHL one?
I started one in the NHL forum if anyone's interested. Thought I'd mention it. |

![]() I wonder if Stastny will be able to talk Liles out of #26? It'd be pretty cool to see him wearing his father's number in the pros.

![]() So I was reading ESPN the Mag today and was in Stu Scott's little section. Someone asked who was the best captain ever He said Messier. With Stevie Y second.
Stevie would have gotten my nod over Messier.....or am I retarded? ( No one answer that last part honestly. I couldn't take the truth right now. ) |

I hate the Red Wings....but when it comes to my personal who do you want on your team list...Stevie Y is right up there with the great John Elway... Joe Sakic will retire in his league though...they're similar types of guys... I loved to hate Stevie Y. |

I hate the Winger Dingers as much as the next Avs fan, but I have all the respect in the world for Stevie. Its hard to hate a guy like him. And yes I wholeheartedly agree, Joe should be in that class too. Of course I'm biased. ![]() |

![]() Right wings Milan Hejduk and Marek Svatos are very good in the offensive zone.
EJ knows something we don't? Well, we know Svatos is good in the offensive zone. We just don't know for what team.... |

![]() Billion Dollar Eddie signs a one year deal with the Panthers
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=172336&hubname= Ales Hemsky re-signs with the Oilers. It's a six year deal. No report on the dollar figures, but it's rumored to be four million per year. Nice to see a player take a cap friendly deal to help out his club. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=172338&hubname= Sharks sign Mark Bell and Christian Ehrhoff http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=172333&hubname= |

![]() Gomez awarded 5 million
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=172350&hubname= A bit surprising considering that's the same amount Briere received. I thought Scott would get 5.5+. The Devils will be making trades as they still have to sign Brian Gionta (48 goals last year) and David Hale. If they accept the Gomez ruling, it will put them at 46 million. |

It's a bit refreshing to know that we're not the only ones who screwed ourselves with dead money on the cap. |

![]() Devils will accept the award ruling in the Gomez case.
http://www.nypost.com/sports/devils/...rk_everson.htm Not a surprise, this just means Gomez wont become a UFA. He could still be on the move, or perhaps NJ trades a guy like Rafalski. Nevertheless, the Devils will be making some moves. |

He's good but he's fragile. He's made for the new NHL though. Your team hurt itself when it traded youth & prospects for older (albiet very very good) talent (for the most part, every GM makes some bad moves). If you had cap space it wouldn't be an issue - but you guys might have to bite it for a year or two. |
