Those two things aren't really mutually exclusive.

Although you know what I REALLY can't stand? People inserting themselves into conversations where they have nothing to contribute but "you should feel bad cause I believe something different". There is a whole front page of threads you can contribute to, why in the world would you bother to even spout an opinion in this one? I mean I go to sleep at night worried about what your definition of Manhood(tm) is, so I appreciate it, but I think others might feel differently.

There isn't one. It's just another form of entertainment. Unless you think adults should avoid entertainment in general, there's no reason to think adults shouldn't play video games if they enjoy them.

Why should they ever quit? I expect I'll be playing into my 80s. Why not? It's a different generation and entertainment is different now.

My father in law has a problem with my gaming with friends, meanwhile he watches random TV for as many hours as I game.

If it were an issue of concerns regarding my capacity to provide for the family I would understand, but I cleared almost $500k last year. If were a health issue, fine but I'm at the gym 4-5 days a week, eat clean and am 190lbs with 10% body fat.

Fact is, he just doesn't understand and associates gaming with antisocial behaviour and time wasting. It's just how I de-stress and yes, I game every night once the kids are asleep.

^^You're right: everyone is entitled to their opinion.

This is the perception I believe my father in law must have. It's hard to get past it for some people.

I walk down to the beach with my kids a few times a week, but I have no place in the wilderness haha.

I did show my son, how to ride a horse in Skyrim though

My wife bought Skyrim for me on the PS4, so 'we could hang out together' rather than my being in the study

Did they ever square up the mod issues on PS4?

I'll never buy a Bethesda game for anything but PC ever again.

I believe they did, but not before I'd moved on

I still enjoyed it very much (after the first 2 big patches)

Everything in moderation. I practically lived outdoors as a kid but some of my best memories with my dad are when he would let me play Quake with him as a kid while my mom was running errands. I think a lot of people born post 1980 or so will play off and on most of their lives. Its what kids are growing up with now.

Grown men are grown, and capable of making that decision for themselves. There is nothing wrong with gaming. Or camping. Or fishing. Or hunting. Or reading. Or, or, or...People find peace with their hobbies. So gaming is not one of yours. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

Yooka laylee looks fun too. I love how it's a throwback to banjo kazooie.

Well, it's good that a-holes like you don't make laws that the rest of the world have to follow.

Yeah, you are entitled to your opinion, regardless of how stupid it is.

I preordered the Switch, and the new Zelda looks epic. Wish there were more games coming out at launch for it tho.

Which is what killed the Wii U. I'll wait until more showup before I jump on that one

If anyone on PS4 is interested in an Alpha code for Paladins, let me know I have an extra.
