Yep. The mmorpg market is stale and companies are realizing that a "WoW killer" is impossible. The next great sandbox mmo will probably be virtual reality.

It probably will be VR. But that should not stop them from creating their own awesome game. You don't have to be a WoW killer to pull a fanbase. Just make it fun and pretty and people will play it.

You know, I saw Nintendo was going to release a new console. And I was like...huh. That's pretty nifty of them to do. Then saw the trailer for Zelda, and it actually has me considering buying it and the game down the road.

I am a mass effect nerd. I can't help it. So I am really looking forward to Andromeda. I like a lot of what Bioware does, and they had five years of development for Andromeda so I am really geeked out about it. It should be pretty damn amazing. I mean I purposely bought a 4k TV and am getting a PS4 pro specifically for ME:A.

I may or may not have done the same thing lol. But seriously, I'm also a huge Mass Effect fan.

I've played through the trilogy more times than I can count, and logged over 800 hours in the ME3 Multiplayer.

Needless to say I'm looking forward to the game's single player campaign and multiplayer.

Only game I'm really excited for is Andromeda. Just don't have the time I used to to play as many games. Oh, and Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt Red has me interested. I would make time for Bloodborne 2, as well. If it happens.

Currently wasting another 100 hours or so on Skyrim Remastered.

Look into Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. It's the real sequel to EQ. McQuaid is running the company making it, so have high hopes. I'm a huge MMO guy, though I haven't played one in years consistently because they all suck.

I'm more excited about remakes. Shows how sad video games are getting. Glad I can replay my old games. I thought today would be like when ps2 first came out. Now it's just robots and halo style games. The variety today blows

Mass Effect and Kingdom Hearts.

I wish they'd release the Dead Space series on PS4.

Kinda excited for Destiny 2.

I think Bungie learned a lot over the last few years and should field a much better game this time.

Last video game I played:

Now it just reminds me of one of our backs trying to find a running lane.

Just watched some gameplay on youtube. Looks promising! It even has Everquest sound effects! I'll follow the development for sure.

I play Star Wars The Old Republic sometimes but no game has sucked me in like EQ did back in the day. I miss the "open world" feeling where you can go off the path and still have fun. I remember hiking up a random mountain and there was a rare item at the top of it. It took me forever and I had no business being there. There were no quests. It was literally just me exploring for no damn reason and somebody put an item up there for people like me. I remember swimming in the middle of a lake or ocean with no land in sight. Again, no business being there. And a giant monster comes out of nowhere and ****s me up. Finding my body was a pain in the ass, but it was worth it. I would try to find the end of the zone and stumble upon other idiots doing the same thing.

For me 2017 looks to be the weakest year in gaming for a long time. A couple of sequels ME: A and Last of Us 2, maybe Red Dead 2.

I'm still hanging in there with SC2 & Overwatch

I got Mortal Kombat XL a month ago for $13 on Steam. It's got Jason, Predator, Alien and Leather Face. It's a good time, haha.
