Default Chubb Sets Broncoís Rookie Record with 3 Sacks

https://packinsider.com/2018/10/14/w...-against-rams/

Quote:

Former NC State Defensive End Bradley Chubb, the #5 pick in this years NFL Draft, tied the Broncoís Rookie single-game sack record, taking down Ramís QB Jared Goff three times!

What made Chubbís performance even more impressive was the fact that he was going against Ramís All-Pro Andrew Whitworth, who is considered by many to be the best Left Tackle in the NFL.

i was a bit skeptical of his play earlier on, but he showed up rushing the passer that game.

Well that tends to happen when you dont have him drop into coverage.

that's cool and all but they sold out gap coverage on the running game to shoot the QB. Glad he got the sacks but would have preferred holding the edges against Gurley and that includes Von's performance as well.

He's going to be really good. He's not the freak athlete Von is so you won't get the sub-2 second sacks with elite bend and speed, but he gives you everything else you want from the position at a really high level. Focusing on just enjoying his play instead of thinking about Rosen "what if"s.

Why? It was actually working. It was 13-3 with 7 minutes to go in the 3rd.
If DEN had a half way decent QB they win the game.

Blow it all up, get Wade and Sloter back. That alone, we are looking at probably undefeated for years.

I was thinking that yesterday- you need something, anything to spark a edge or break a play.... who do you tap?

Devontae Booker?

He's the guy least likely to do anything special.

This draft class has a ton of promise (at least for those who aren't expecting immediate starter ability on opening day, like complete morons.). The talent on the field yesterday was greater than the poorly coordinated and coached effort we saw. This is at least a 9-10 win team playing at a 4-5 win level.

A coaching staff and a QB away from 10-6.
Oh well.

Where does that get us? A wild card?

I have to disagree. I don't think Keenum is playing like a 10 win QB, regardless of the plays called. EVERY time he gets pressure, it's the same thing, he fades back, then to the right, and then he either throws it away or takes a sack. Every time. How many times have you actually seen him try to escape to his left? Once or twice all season maybe. He's much slower than I originally thought, his arm strength is much less than I thought. He's not as accurate as I thought. He's making bad decisions out there on the field constantly and his execution hasn't been stellar either.
