I'd probably wait until the kid wins a few playoff games before comparing him to Elway and Manning, but that's just me.

Notice we're not screaming Paxton's praising and saying he's the next coming. And I'm fairly certain none of us did.

Um. Footsteps might be crazy. But he ain't a total simplton like you man. Y'all really can't read between lines down in KFClandia... What he said is called a dig homie. Think about it....
Who the hell calls their QB "Belle" unless they are being a comedian about it?
He was calling him a southern Belle instead of a tough man. Anything else you need spelled out check with sesame Street. Cause we can't explain backhanded statements and inuendo all the time...

.....Are you sure? No one else commenting in that thread, including footsteps seemed to be joking about that....footsteps was kind of butthurt that no one was on board with it....and he started the thread when Lynch was drafted...still nothing but unicorns and sunshine around the pick...he hadn't been to an OTA yet...

You havenít been around here much to understand the Lynch hate. We pride ourselves in knowing heís a bust well before anyone else. I called it 2 years ago!

Youíre going to have to come up with another angle.

Why don't you wait until a few games into the season to tell what you see in him and bringing it to a rivals board.

No no, nothing involving Mahomes ... oh GOD no. Rather it was something I saw last night. I was watching NFL Network, and their original program came on:

"Timeline: The Merger" - The story of the unprecedented merger between the National Football League and the upstart American Football League, giving birth to the modern-day NFL and the uniquely American spectacle called the Super Bowl

Lamar Hunt was a remarkable man. I've always felt a deep admiration for "The Greatest Generation," and Lamar Hunt belongs squarely within it.

WRONG! He wasn't kidding, he actually thought that would be a good name for him and also a good QB

Lamar Hunt was a remarkable man. I've always felt a deep admiration for "The Greatest Generation," and Lamar Hunt belongs squarely within it.
Hunt was actually what today would be called a "medlesome" owner. He often made or dictated draft choices etc. He finally decided he wasn't a good football man (or was no longer one) by 1989 when he hired Carl Peterson.

Peterson was a hero here for about 5 years...then his 5 year plans just kept getting longer and longer. He was a prisoner of his own success and proclamations and that is why we NEVER developed a QB when he was here....he had the expectation to win now...and that was due in no small part to some pretty good rosters. Everything he did after Joe Montana was to keep the window open thinking we were always close. We weren't ever as close as he or anyone else thought.

The only real rebuild Carl undertook was hiring Vermiel and spending heavily on the offense to get things going in a hurry....kind of worked..offense was great those years...(and if you look at where the money was and wasn't spent, that shouldn't be a surprise)

Lamar was always good with the veteran QB route because he had won that way before. Len Dawson, though a first round pick...was not drafted by KC...Lamar incorrectly thought that the Chiefs shouldn't waste time and money develping a QB.....let someone else (the 49ers!) do it, then we sign the guy they spent the money and time on when he's ready. (UGH.)
