Eventually they'll have to find a way to feed Chubb too to keep everyone happy.

He fed last year at NC State without much on the rest of the line to help him, granted against lesser competition. I'm not worried about Chubb, he's coming along nicely at this level. Just wait until he starts getting into opponent's heads like he did in college. Like Shannon Sharpe on the DL.

Miller has traditionally slowed down late in seasons. Obviously not 2015 playoffs & SB50 but more recently. Hopefully he keeps up the torrid pace. No reason why he can't break it unless Woods insists on playing a ton of off man coverage or zone allowing QB's to check down and get rid of the ball quickly.

I actually think he is due to have a 4-5 sack game at some point this year. DT had at least one of those a year it seemed. Von is more of a consistent guy but as Chubb gets more experienced I could see it opening up Von to go off.

If only he could play against Seattles OL every week, which has allowed 12 sacks through the first 2 games, with one of the most elusive QB's in the game. Their OL is atrocious.

Von's ability to approach the sack record will largely depend on the Broncos offense. If the Broncos get up 2 scores in the 4th then Von will get his multiple sack chances.

Rules changes are definitely having an influence on stats.

Three scatbacks under 200 pounds are in the top 5 in yards gained after contact, including Lindsay and another Colorado kid, Austin Ekeler from Western State.

The NFL is making it more and more difficult to play defense, meaning we're not even going to be able to compare player's stats from year to year pretty soon because the changes are extreme.

Good point. I posted this after game 12 of the 2016 season when Miller had a 3-sack lead on the rest of the league. He was shutout in the last 4 games of the season...

He’s on pace for about 21.

Nobody’s going to break the record with the new rules. How many of Strahan’s sacks would have been penalized and called back?

Yes more specifically the RT Ifedi was rated as the worst offensive lineman in the NFL last year. They gave up 5 or 6 sacks against the Bears but Wilson was holding the ball way to long and they had a pretty good game against the Cowboys so hopefully they are improving.

I noticed on Monday night he would be on the sideline looking gased in passing situations is he dealing with injury, out of shape or do they just try to rest him more for third downs late in games?

He's apparently dealing with a thigh injury. He was limited in practice Wed and Thu.

Yes. He had a really good game on Monday. He's also adjusting to a new position and has played four games in the NFL. He's very promising and will really come into his own next year.

If you're using Von Miller the best pass rusher in the league as a benchmark then you're making a mistake.
