How about "what's the plan to fix this?" VJ and Woods want to keep their jobs and do have a boss to answer to. That's how it works in the real world.

Its not like that will magically give them the ability to solve the problem though. Yelling at a stupid person wont make them smart.

I didn't suggest yelling being involved. But the discussion is certainly warranted. Particularly if they're seriously in the market for a DB. They'd want to discuss possibilities and options with both the coaches and the personnel people.

Some of the problems could be that, but the bottom line is weve obviously got to play better, especially in man-to-man situations, Joseph said Monday. Weve got to coach better and help those guys play more shell defense on certain downs. We can coach and play better. Im not concerned about the comments, because Chris is playing good football and he wants to win. I have no problem with what hes saying.

and hes never had a full season with a losing record close to what we had last year. His only full season that had a losing record was with the broncos and that's still better than what our crappy current hc did.

We were down two CBs out of our top 4. Combine that with crappy LBer coverage and on the road it was always going to be tough. Losing Cravens to IR hurts as well as he would been our nickel DB.

By his own admission. He does look like Belichek compared to VJ though.

We have the best 2 offenses in football and maybe the best teams in football in the Rams and Chiefs in the next 2 home games and we have Darnold and Rosen with the Jets and Cardinals in the next 2 road games then we finish with the Chiefs on the road in the next 5 games. We could easily go 1-4 in that stretch. Does Woods get the Mike McCoy treatment if we get lit up at home by the Chiefs and the Rams at home or say we lose against Darnold and Rosen on the road?

The Broncos have too come out against the Chiefs with a sense of urgency and get a win because if we lose monday night i can see the next month ending very badly and Elway swinging the axe on coaches and even maybe trading away a player or two and going full on youth movement. If were 2-6 or 3-5 after KC on the road in week 8 **** is going to get crazy.

Fascinating listen straight from inside the locker room and on the field on this topic with Woods, Talib, etc.

Schlereth & Evans has a lot to say about Woods and the departure of Talib. Talib is a captain in LA and meets privately every week with McVay (one of the smartest coaches in the league) to talk overall team strategy... offense and defense. He picks Talibs brain about how motions and coverages effect what they see and how offenses react, what gives them trouble, etc. So yeah... Talib has a very high football IQ. Woods just may end up being Vance's scapegoat too... the writing is showing up on the wall.

Starts around 24:00

Another long day for the Broncos cornerbacks in man coverage: Bradley Roby (6 of 9, 72 yards by Flacco), Chris Harris (4 of 6, 44 yards) and rookie Issac Yiadom (3 of 4, 59 yards).

Yes it is. #1. A bunch of #'s after that but one is getting Kubiak involved with this team again. He may have been the reason Wade came to Denver but he was involved in him leaving also. He had Elway's ear and he had his ear as far as VJ too, the little crybaby who couldn't handle Talib saying ****, truthful ****.

How many of these Wade/Talib stories are floating around out there? Some seem to contradict others.

I'd still like to know how, exactly...we know any of this?

Denver is #16 in overall defense so far, with two great games and one bad game against Oakland.

Rams are #21.

Ravens and Dallas (wtf) are pacing the league so far, with Denver and Bmore #1 and #2 on 3rd downs going into Week 3 (not sure what they are now).

Definitely room for improvement, but lol at the Rams jealousy. They have 4 sacks and have played Arizona; I can't even name a pass rusher other than Chris Long, whom I believe has been off the team for 2+ years.

Who's that boss answer to?

This is a nagging question, uncomfortable obviously...I get it. But once he fires one or both...what then?

He's going the hiring...should he be?

#21 in yards per play. Drive stats haven't updated yet but both teams were top 7 there last week. So both probably skewed a little by the big play, and at least Denver obviously by their 3rd down numbers.

How consistently you can stop 3rd downs, how few points you give up, and redzone stop rate are far important measures of defense.
