Would love to hear some opposing views to this. We aren't getting the answer to our QB question at our current draft spot and I don't believe Cousins is worth the money. I also can see Smith getting some premium $$ from some other club.

Draft a rookie and find a cheap vet (mentor) with the best study habits.

Listen, I think he is above pedestrian and he doesn't make a lot of mistakes. That's my take on him. I watched a bunch of his games last year (fantasy related) and was subjected to Bills games this year (local spot had a big contingent). I'm not saying he is a world beater, but I'd much rather him than pay Cousins that big money and be stuck watching our defense disintegrate while he is behind center for the next 5 years.

Don't want to commit big money to the QB position?

its funny that people want Tyrod Taylor but not Alex Smith. If Alex Smith was named Allen Samuels and led Tampa Bay to a few straight playoffs we'd all be fine with him.

Not sure where that comes from. Is that saying there is a bias against him because he plays for the Chiefs or because his name is Smith?

The options aren't pretty moving forward: Taylor, Smith, Brissett, etc....

Smith is definitely the better QB but is going to cost more money

indeed, lots of options this year at QB. If Taylor is the best we can do after watching the **** train of QBs the past two years then we are screwed, and I liked him two years ago. But not now, we need better. The rest of the team is not 2015 good.

Which team is the best fit for Tyrod Taylor in 2018?

Bowen: Denver Broncos. They have a win-now defense with pass-rushers and aggressive coverage corners. But they need a QB who can establish some offensive consistency and protect the ball. Given Taylor's ability to create outside of the pocket, and his low turnover rate, he could be a fit as the starter in '18 if the Broncos cater to his talent with scheme and game plan.

Clay: Broncos. Alex Smith to the Cardinals makes too much sense, and I believe the Jaguars will add a rookie to compete with Bortles, which opens the door for a Taylor/first-round rookie competition in Denver. The window is closing on the Demaryius Thomas/Emmanuel Sanders duo, and the Broncos’ defense is still one of the league’s best. This is a team that can make a playoff run with a few savvy offseason moves and by adding a quarterback who will protect the ball. Taylor, who sports the best interception rate in NFL history at 1.4 percent, fits the bill and adds value with his legs.

Graziano: Broncos. They still need to address the position long-term, and they could draft a QB, as well. But Taylor isn't a guy you'd worry about standing in the way of a prospect who came more quickly than you expected. Denver seems to be determined to prove it can win with adequate QB play, and Taylor can certainly give them that.

Insiders predict: The Bills' 2018 QB, and Tyrod Taylor's new team

I'd be happy with Tyrod Taylor like I'd be happy I had herpes. Sure it means I got laid, but it also means I could have done a lot better with effort.

Well we all know how Kubiak feels about him. He petitioned multiple times for him. Would it be OK to criticize Elway if this scenario went down?

I think Taylor is a good player. A decent QB. He would be an improvement for sure. But we're not just looking for an improvement. We're looking for a franchise QB to lead us to Super Bowls.

The biggest problem with getting Taylor means we'll probably also draft one. So, assuming they do so at 5, instead of getting a good player there we'll get a bust-in-waiting.
