Harris and Kerr played better than those two last year anyway, and Walker hopefully starts to contribute now that he’s playing his proper position. We’re fine there.

I could definitely see Hines, he can be used as a RB and potentially a slot at times and he is a returner on special teams.

Denver Broncos: Royce Freeman, RB, Oregon B Grade
Royce Freeman thrived at the combine, surprising some with his athleticism. He moved into third-round consideration, so the range makes sense. He also fills a big need in the wake of C.J. Anderson's inexplicable release. This is a logical, albeit unexciting pick.

If MethWolfe gets injured again, this Defense is toast. No late round DT would change that. There are only 2 open spots on the entire Defense anyway.

1. 4th CB - Yiadom just filled it
3. LB Reserve - going to be picked tomorrow

Next year is the year for DT.

Just going off his highlights, it seems that he was a significantly better runner two seasons ago. He was more dynamic. Plenty of time for him to prove me wrong but for now, in the "deepest rb class ever," this feels like yet another ho hum Bronco hb.

I love how espn is still saying that Denver turns running backs into gold, btw. That hasnt been true for over a decade.

They have 3 young TE on the team already, I doubt they add a fourth. Look for veteran after the draft.

Two things - he played hurt last season and they changed up the offense

Scribe why does this guy stand out to you?

Freeman seems like a good back but a vast dropoff from the Chubb-Jones-Guice group. He doesn't leg drive through tackles regularly which is odd given his size. He breaks the occasional tackle but falls down on first contact more often than not. When he changes direction he is slow to re-accelerate. He rarely had to create plays from nothing. I like his hands, vision, and cutting ability.

I was excited about Chubb and Guice because they always make the first defender miss, and often times the second. That is invaluable. They can be wrapped up and still break one.

Freeman is like an Alfred Morris. Seems like a master-of-none Kubiak pick.

Good pick for a RB in the 3rd round. Much of the remaining RB's are either in the smallish side or bigger without speed who might need to go to FB to have a shot in the NFL.

I have this too. I think it's because his voice has an assured quality to it and yet he delivered us poop last year.

Elway, "We need a bell cow and you're going to be that guy for us".

You can’t get them all but at least they tried for Jones or Hernandez. They got a good RB, a potential number one WR, and a potential nickel/ST player that we’re all good.
