RSS readers for blogs I actually really want to read, when I want to read, without all the javascript laden ads and feels like you are watching commercials on TV.

Also try to pick a few good "portals", yes using the browser, that has good info without all the bs.

Plus Netfix instant on the TV for entertainment. I can't remember the last time I went to YouTube. (except for problem solving, need to figure something out, etc.)

I have about 3-4 services I pay for to get content, (mostly graphics/web/dev stuff). I do spend time there.

But as far as the "open" and "free" web, its getting pretty close to being dead to me.

Just a bunch of un-edited ill-informed agenda-driven BS, really.

And, no I'm not bitter, I'm just busy...

Also, I didn't really know much about the whole Casey Anthony thing, because I purposely chose not to pay attention.

I still don't really know what went on, and you know what? I think I am better because of that (I didn't concern myself with it).

Some people get way too concerned in other people's matters.

I'm so confused now. How was Pat Shrmur's offense the same as McDaniels? Can you spell this out in Xs and Os for me? Also, how was McDaniel's offense a gimmick for Orton but not a gimmick for Tebow? I'm so confused

With that outfit, 'Celibate' comes to mind.

You watched Orton play in McDaniels offense right? And you watched Orton put up huge hollow numbers with little results right? They did it the same way.. dinking and dunking.. yards after catch. Bradford did the same in college.. plus they beat u on bad defenses and in losses. But the offense isn't conducive to to playoff success or success against good defenses.

And it's not a gimmick for Tebow because Tebow made the running game much better.. he did this by making longer passes when it mattered opening up the line of scrimmage rather than dinking and dunking closing it off and gumming up the offense.

Tebow had a lower completion percentage but had a dramatically better yards per attempt and a much improved running game because of his athleticism and passing ability down the field.

This will translate to the post season.. Bradford and Orton's will not.. which is why it is a gimmick offense. Big numbers but fluff numbers.. great completion percentage but fool's gold.

The people who said Bradford was a number one pick were the same ones saying Tebow was juts carried by his great team and John Brantley was a better NFL prospect than Tebow..
Ryan Leaf, #2 overall pick.
Rod Smith, undrafted.

the NFL draft is not a guaranteed predictor of NFL success. NFL draft gurus don't always know what they're talking about.

get over it.

You need to stop pretending that Tebow was your idea, or that you were the only guy who believed in him. He was taken in the first round, remember? A majority of this board thought it was the only good thing McDaniels ever did. His jersey was a #1 seller the minute he was drafted. People loved him from the word go. Plus, absolutely none of it has been justified... yet.

Considering the level of experience YES. Remember.. Tebow was supposed to be the project and bust with the weak arm.. and he had a better YPA than a seasoned vet in Orton with no prep and no head coach..

Well if you guys were really that much for Tebow you were the exception. Believe me.. I had been arguing for Tebow through his whole college career and all up to the draft and after.

That is why I always repeat that quote - 3 phases.. I have seen it first hand. Tebow as a prime example but I see it everywhere in life.

Go back and listen to what the draft experts and NFL people were saying about Tebow.. Joe Theisman said he should retire after college.. Todd McShay said he was a 4th or 5th round pick.. Mel Kiper said he should switch positions...

Actually that IS a pretty dramatic difference. If you substituted the increase in YPA attributable to Tebow to the overall number of passes thrown by Orton last year, it would have been another 320 yards of offense, which would have elevated Denver to 7th in the league in total offense.

From an individual perspective, over an entire season, Tebow's 7.98 YPA would have ranked him 5th overall among NFL QB's last season (ahead of, among others, Tom Brady).

Tebow was impressive statistically last season no matter which way you slice it.

He absolutely did not look out of place.

He had several rookie moments where he threw into coverage or made the wrong read or short armed a throw, but he had just as many or more "wow" moments where he looked like the best player on the field and one of the biggest impact players in the NFL.
