No. It's a hedge for dxy. Has nothing to do with mad Max dude. It's the inverse relationship that is important. Nothing to do with making money. It's about keeping your purchasing power and paper. Well it's paper.

I get that Meck. My point is if it’s not in your possession then in that environment it may not exist in any way you can access it. Sorta like the billions in bitcoin that seem to disappear every couple of years

Gold has held it’s purchasing power for thousands of years in nearly every human culture around the world.

U.S. fiat currency has only been around for 47 years, and it’s already lost 84% of its purchasing power since then.
