Default 2018 Draft Thread Offense

I thought I'd start a thread even this early to focus on players Denver should target.

In a perfect world a RT but Derrius Guice or Saquan Barkley would be stellar as well.

I want QB RT or G in draft. Go FA at TE.

Butt is gonna be a star, though we will need some depth at TE. IRman is useless.

Current Pick Outlook for Denver's 2018 Draft

1, 2, 3, 3 (Okung, Comp), 4 (SF, Bibbs), 4, 5, 5 (ATL, Sambrailo), 6 and 7.

Who knows if the Okung will net a third, but AAV makes him the highest paid LT there is. . .

I hope the 2018 draft feels as good as this one did coming out of those 7 rounds.

We should see 4-5 early contributors from 2017.

At least three of those ten selections will be oft-injured prospects.

One of them will be used on someone with a learning disability.

Several will be team captains.

Wherever the drunken thrown darts of Elway, Heckert and Russell land. . .

James Oglokobo from Panderville State College. . .

"Hey, how's it going James? . . . *Elway takes a shot* Yeah, well we are excited to have ya! . . . *burp from booze* Yep, we were just crossing our fingers you were on our board when we got to the pick so we are elated. Didn't think you'd fall that far. *taps glass, signals to Heckert and Russell he needs a refill* Excited to see you tomorrow and we'll get to work. OK, bud?"

Rinse, repeat.

It's funny because it's true. Watching Elway talk to those prospects on the phone calls is one of the most awkward things I've ever seen. Same thing to everyone.

It's just brutal to watch, it's like he's trying to be a politician but he has no idea what to say other than a rehearsed script in his head. It only stops being weird when he hands the phone off.

RT unless Watson magically becomes elite, as well as the other G spot.

Another TE as well since all of them but Butt are useless bums.

RB we're good with Anderson, Williams, DHop and Booker.

Could maybe use another WR and plan for the future with ES/DT both hitting 30 soon.

Depending where we pick, really wonder if Elway tries to trade up for a QB or not. Or just sign one in FA.

I fully expect Elway to do either route to upgrade QB position in 18.

After watching Watson look putrid in pass pro, I think RT has to be the pick in the 1st round unless there's a clearly better player available at a different position. I think Watson should be moved to guard honestly.

Isn't OT class supposed to be solid in 18?

It's got promise for sure.

Adams (Washington), McGlichney (ND) and Williams (TX) are all going in the first round.

Rankin (Miss State), Ivey (Florida, who is moving to tackle, which he prefers) this year are first-round talents, but need to show consistency.

I'd place Hyatt (Clemson), Jones (Ohio St.) and Christian (Louisville) as second day guys. Brown out of Oklahoma is gigantic (350+) and is a RT candidate.

Those are off the top of my head. I'm pretty sure Oregon and Stanford have tackles who are considered decent prospects. Crosby and Tucker, IIRC.
