Default We need FOX back !

After 3 games it is obvious that Fox had a lot of input and was responsible for
a lot of our second half adjustments. We all thought Gase was doing a great job, and Manning was a field general, coach on the field. But maybe Fox had a lot more to do with our 2nd half adjustments on both O and D then we thought.

Under Del Rio our offense has become stagnant, and tries to sit on leads without doing much of anything to put teams away. That, more than anything else is why we lost yesterday. No killer instinct, and no ability to analyse what the other team did to adjust their Offense and defense after the half. Del Rio finally got the D back on track after we fell behind, but gave up 31 points before that. Those adjustments were needed much sooner.

One late drive by the offense was all we had in the 2nd half. Yeah, Moreno was going beast , but the failure to use that to run play action and take advantage of
NE crashing was inexcusable. Part Manning , Part Gase, and Part our receivers.

Denver thought they had the win at the half, and forgot about who was on the other side.

I hope Fox is back within two games. Del Rio is too conservative. ( and I thought FOX was, but boy it shows how much better he is than Del Rio)

There's probably a good reason that Del Rio crashed and burned, in Jacksonville. The only thing saving him, now, is MUCH better talent...

I was thinking the same thing, we got completely out coached in the 2nd half.

Belicheck does that to a lot of coaches.

I don't know about that. That's like saying Billycheat got outcoached in the 1st half. I just think it was way more about players making crucial mistakes. There were 11 balls on the ground in last nights game. You can only make a guy hold the ball in his sleep so often. Sooner or later, it's got to click in his head. Just like it did KM last year coming off the inactive list. He gets it now and it shows. If we could only get Ball and Hillman to "get it" also. Del Rio had nothing to do with those turnovers and especially that OT screw up.

Yeah, me either. I had no coaching issues. Players gotta play, and truth is, our boys relaxed in the 3rd Qtr, Rogers-Cromartie got hurt with no- one to replace his man cover skills, and we turned the ball over. End of story.

Keeping Holliday and Ball out of the game were coaching decisions. Yes they made mistakes . But you don't take away options for your team when you NEED those options. And Del RIO ran the Zone scheme way too long. It wasn't working , yet he used it the entire 3rd and half the 4th quarter, until we got behind.

And running Moreno over and over yet never using a PA pass to get some action DOWN field were coaching decisions.
Yes we got outcoached.....

Yeah wtf was that about? No PA off of our run game? That's a head scratcher to me. Just makes no sense.

I sincerely doubt it was Del Rio saying "ya know what, no play action. I dont like it." Offensive coaching failure there.

I don't know about us getting out coached, as much as it is a serious flaw in coaching philosophy in the modern NFL game.

He started off the first 5 years 45-35 and 3 playoff games. Then settled in mediocrity for 3 1/2 years and got fired midseason. Since then, the Jags have become even worse the last two years by never even reaching the win total of Del Rio in the partial season he was fired.
