A Dallas player was flagged for a very similar hit on Wilson - only difference is Wilson got rid of the ball right before he was hit. The NFL is done. Better watching Woods win the Tour Championship.

Yeah, I understand (and agree somewhat) the idea of protecting quarterbacks. But, you will never get me to accept falling on a qb, WHO HAS THE BALL, for a sack, with ZERO helmet to helmet, a roughing the passer penalty.

but when the Qb's escape and trhow it downfield everyone faps and fawns....

the NFL is not a real product of football anymore.

It is Artificial

It is for a different audience.

A fanduel live scoring pinball consumer

not a Real football fanbase that played or coached the real thing.

I find it funny the NFL defended the call clay went out of his way to avoid H2H contact and they still threw the flag sad times guys sad times.

The whole falling on the QB is BS. That’s just part of a tackle. If that’s illegal, then it should just be tag on the QB like in practice. Or just play 7-on-7.

Watching that play again, it seems like pass rushers should just grab and hold QBs instead of tackling them. But, that's not football. You tackle the ball carrier...to the ground. The play is over when the ball carrier is down.

I can understand protecting the head, but protecting the QBs from routine tackles?!?! At what point is there going to be a division between the QBs and everybody else? I can see this becoming a major problem, especially with the QBs making way more than everybody else. The gap is pretty enormous.

That's whats going to happen if it keeps going this way they don't seem to care what is football anymore now tacklers have to control where and how they fall after running full bore.

if that is a penalty then have to go to: QB is down if touched by a defender to be fair.

First it was no contact to the head. Okay, makes sense.

Second was no hits below the knee. Okay, still makes sense.

Now it's no landing on the QB.

The NFL piece by piece is taking away tacking the QB.
