Awards and Honors
2013 SEC Defensive Player of the Year
Points
2012 SEC 6 (5th)
Tackles for Loss
2013 NCAA 19 (9th)
2013 SEC 19 (1st)
Sacks
2013 NCAA 12 (8th)
2013 SEC 12 (1st)
Career SEC** 16 (23rd)
** Since 2005
Interception Return Yards
2010 Big 12 62 (10th)
Fumbles Forced
2013 SEC 2 (7th)
Michael Sam is one of those classic tweeners. He's not big enough to be a DT or even a DE and he's not fast enough to be a great OLB in a 3-4. When I say "tweener" it means he's got some skills but teams just aren't sure how he will fit into their scheme. This is why, strickly as a football player, he could have easily gone undrafted.

It's a ****ing story, but it's not the end of days. My god, get over it

OF course he isn't...it shouldn't matter. But I don't want to witness recent draft picks kissing a disgustingly obese hefer either. The made for TV perversion of America is almost complete.

Bull. A guy that produced as much as that, assuming he's healthy, always gets drafted. SEC D players of the year don't go undrafted. Not saying he's a first rounder, for the reasons you mentioned, but he's a high motor guy who produced

Or you could say his celebrity as a gay person was because he was SEC Defensive player of the year and was drafted by the NFL.

I guess we shall see. But Sams as an NFL prospect is nothing special.

Well, it's both, and of course it's a story, but beyond the headline there's not much to talk about here. The minute the rams captains say "he's one of us, blah blah". That's it. There's no more story unless someone else does something really stupid. And guess what, the bigot would be the one vilified. Not Michael Sam.

Might be true, most draft picks don't pan out, I'm just saying SEC DPOYs don't go undrafted

Riddle me this: how does that have anything to do with how he defines his existence?

I can respect that. I agree that when you don't have to face repercussions it's more likely you say something you wouldn't in real life.

Trust me i have had my fair share of probably shouldn't have said that in real life lol.

Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth.

This thread proves that emphatically.

Last year it was Michael Sam. The year before it was Jarvis Jones. Before that it was Morris Claiborne, Patrick Peterson, Rolando McClain, Eric Berry, Glenn Dorsey, Patrick Willis, Demeco Ryans, and David Pollack.

Well aren't you classy. I don't know why your self hatred is expressing itself here or directed at me based on a silly picture, but let's be clear you don't know me nor what I look like and the fact that you turned this personal is a reflection only of the ugliness within yourself. I genuinely hope you get the psychological counseling you need or at the very least laid by the first willing hooker you find.

Considering your history of being banned for sexist, racist and homophobic comments; do you really wish to continue down this road?

538 has a good write up on 1) he was first projected as a 4th rounder, 2) they then had him slipping to the 6th after his middling workouts and 3) 6th round picks only have a 50/50 shot at being drafted anyways.

What are you talking about? I didn't sling any insult at you with that picture. I quoted your thing about kissing hefer (spelled Heifer by the way) and put a picture of two kissing heifer. It was meant to be silly fun and you went and got all personally insulting. I genuinely don't know why you lost your **** over a picture of livestock, but calm down.
