Okay, that was funny.

Thing is, I've seen this schtick before:

Good run against back up QB's and general turdery. It just happens to be going on towards the end of the regs instead of the beginning.

I'm not buying, and Alex gonna' Alex.

We won't? Look around - is there anyone trumpeting Superbowl aspirations? Show me one poster who is on love with this team.

My general feeling is that we have the best D I've ever seen in Denver, and its being wasted by an inept OL, a coaching staff in the first year of a transition, and a first year starter QB or a legend on the wrong side of the cliff.

At best, this is a year in transition.

That has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that KC is a paper tiger.

Every team in the AFC playoff picture outside of the Pats and Steelers can be considered frauds.

For KC it depends on Houston. Losing him would be an enormous blow to what we do.
Chiefs have a good team though. We'll see..

He struggles with that concept. His go to defense mechanism is deflect to Denver when talking KC. Denver and KC are both frauds.

You struggle with the concept that I'm not saying KC is a SB team. In fact I don't think anybody has.

I've said NE from the start

I don't see any team in the AFC who isn't vulnerable. Patriots better hope they get home field cause they can be beat on the road. Steelers entire existence relies on Bens health. A betting man wouldn't go to Vegas with the thought he can stay upright after watching the injuries stack up on him this year. Those are the 2 top teams in the AFC, but they got their own issues too.

There's only one team in the league whose elite and their record shows it. Cam is unanimously the MVP this year.

The Chiefs fatal flaw, that was obvious early in pre-season, is still there, and it's this: Andy Reid is addicted to the passing game, but the team is constructed to run the ball and play defense.

He has done a much better job of it as of late and the record shows.

But, you guys know who Andy Reid is. When things get rough, he will start with his old ways of throwing the ball all over the place, and abandoning the run game. He did it forever in Philly, he's done it a lot in KC. It's who he is, he can't help himself.

Last week Reid told the media that he has given playcalling duties to OC Doug Pederson on a part-time basis which has made a lot of us happy bc it's showing.

Last week the Chiefs TD drive consisted of 9 plays. 7 of the 9 plays were runs, including the first 6 plays of the drive. Direct proof that that ain't Andy.

You can see the consistency the last few weeks:

OAK-22 passes/19 designed runs
SD-24 passes/22 designed runs

Actually, a big part of the win streak is Andy Reid is letting the OC call plays.

Since that switch, we have ran a 50:50 run pass split and have kicked ass.

It's funny because around the same time as that happened was when I started a thread showing the run pass splits in wins and losses and we won nearly every time we called a balanced attack on offense...shortly after, Andy hands over partial play calling duties to Pederson.

And I still think that.

The Chiefs are willing themselves to wins.

Whether that be because of Berry, or Devito/DJ returning at full strength from Achilles tears, or the gradual improvement of the OL, Alex playing at a high level or whatever...I think KC can make a nice playoff run.

The only teams that scare me are Pittsburgh and NE, if they are at full strength.

So a few weeks ago Chiefs fans were trumpeting, by their own admission, their cupcake schedule, so now because they beat up on weak teams they're a top team in the NFL? How'd that 9-0 record against backup QB's a couple years ago work out?

Houston just got a 2nd opinion from Dr. Andrews and nothing changed. Swelling has gone down. He should be back by playoffs.

Thank god

D. Ford looked great in his absence...If KC can't beat Baltimore and Cleveland they don't deserve to be in the playoffs. I think it will come down to the Raider game because as we all know divisional games are the toughest since the worst team in your division can beat you on any given Sunday...like last year when the Chiefs eliminated the Chargers in the last game of the reg who had a wild card spot with a win...why I'm also happy the Chiefs aren't playing the Chargers in the last game.

Catching balls off the ground helps then not having the Video guy show the replay of the ball hitting the ground then a lunk of an HC deciding not to challenge that play but waste a challenge a couple plays later on a clear clean play helps. That one play saved your season and kept you alive in the WC race.
Lose that Buff game and your outside looking in.

Why? Denver fans love excuses. Any time you bring up a Chief win there is an excuse. Their 7 game winning streak? Excuses. The game against Oakland? Excuses. The game against Denver? Excuses.

Excuses, excuses excuses.

Manning has won more post season games than the chefs since they jonied the NFL.

Manning joined the NFL 1998
chefs 1970

Hope that helps.
