It's so weird. Why does it always have to be at 11?
Because in Chiefs Land it so rarely gets above about 3-1/2

Manningís arm was starting to show signs of giving out (Richard Sherman said they knew he was throwing ducks on deep balls).

You also ran into one of the best defenses ever assembled, quite possibly the best secondary ever.

How many defenses are THAT good right now? Maybe Jacksonville?

The last 2 Super Bowls had 60+ points. You need to understand that the league is moving towards offense every year. Touching receivers after 5 yards, crushing a receiver over the middle, hitting a QB below the waist to now even sacking a QB with your body. You could do that 7 years ago.

Itís all illegal now. Itís harder than ever to field a truly great defense.

Chief fans: It's not enough to just have a good QB or even a good offense. Ask Dan Marino, Jim Kelly and Fran Tarkenton how that goes. Shoot, ask Phillip Rivers. It takes so many thing going your way and so many parts of your team being healthy and playing out of their minds. And even then you'll run into a buzz saw or it just won't be your day.
You just don't get it.

He has even started a game at home, and he's undefeated, and his career QB rating is 130.1.

He hasn't even had a 100-yard rusher in any of those games, or a defense that didn't **** the bed in some way.

We are looking at a once-a-decade prospect who is likely going to change the way NFL team scouts his position forever.

The only thing that can stop Patrick Mahomes II is injury.

Um... He just told you that we had Elway and it took until 1997. Marino never got one.
The fact that KC Might (emphasis on Might) have a great QB, don't mean crap.
I mean look who we are talking about.
KC had Montana and didn't do it.

If you want to be truthful....
Blackledge was supposedly a generational talent too.
How'd that work out?

Bob ain't had this level of hope since he realized all the other inbred spermatizoids had two tails and he was gonna reach the egg first.

Iíve gone back and watched the all-22 for the two Chiefs game. Mahomes is talented. Has a rocket arm; farve, Rogers, Elway type of strength. Hits tight windows. Throws guys open rather than waiting for them to become open. And can make all the throws from seemingly any arm angle or body position and on run. Heís a real threat. We should all be taking him seriously, Iím sure our coaching staff (hopefully) and others around the league are. Theyíre not a complete team though so no one should be crowning them with anything other than a successful qb draft pick, which is a solid accomplishment given how much of a crapshoot that is. Iíll be excited to see them against our broncos and some of the other too defenses in the NFL.

Watched the kid a couple times in North Texas when he was in high school and he's fun to watch. I'm happy for him as a Texan, not as a Broncos fan. Either way, I suspect his production will taper off a bit as more tape becomes available, although I don't suspect he'll have the same falloff as Prescott, RG3, etc.

It's good for the division and I hope Elway goes out and beefs up our secondary, if it doesn't happen pre Chiefs game it will definitely happen after the first matchup.

I definitely think Mahomes is legit. It is still early, but QB's don't just drop into the league throwing 10 tds. Mahomes has a great supporting cast of offensive skill position players - Hill, Kelce, Hunt who are all good weapons and a coach who is good an maximizing their potential.

Chiefs need to take advantage of this time while Hill, Mahomes, Hunt are all on their rookie contracts because they will also demand significantly higher salaries whenever their contracts expire.

I hate to admit it, but Mahomes is gonna be a thorn in the side of the Broncos for a while.

Nick Foles in 2013 had 27 TD's and 2 INT (including a 6 TD game) and hasn't replicated anything close since as far as season long stats. Yes, he did have a nice superbowl run, but has already been relegated to backup status. Let's see how the league adjusts to Majomes.

Sample sizes don't mean dick. The man can pick a fly off a rhinoceros at 40 yards with king kong breathing down his neck.

It's true that Old Bob is back. But Old Bob never felt this way about any of the players he homered it up for.

This feels different.

Best explanation science could give....
Genetic abnormalities caused by ancestors that mated with siblings... causing family trees that look like palms leaving a lack of brain folds in recipients. The same condition could be seen in all directions for miles upon miles resulting in a mentally handicapped society that reinforces its incorrect ideas through a series of racially prejudiced buffoonery, alcoholism, meth addiction, and continued cousin humping...

Its also why Bob is one of their brightest.
