Raiders coach Jack Del Rio says Khalil Mack is 'way more physical' than Denver's Von Miller http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000495171/article/del-rio-khalil-mack-more-physical-than-von-miller?campaign=Twitter_atn

"I think Khalil is way more physical than Von," said Raiders coach Jack Del Rio, who coached Miller with the Broncos. "Von got up to somewhere around 250 pounds when I had him but he's naturally closer to 240. Khalil can be up around 260 or 265 and they both play that strongside linebacker position and sub-pass-rusher role. Since most teams use their sub packages for two-thirds of the game, there will be some opportunities there. They're different but they're both special."

I can see that. Khalil is a big dude. He should be more physical if he's gonna be a star in the NFL. Von will have to settle for being faster, more disruptive, and a proven super star. Del Rio has to talk up his guy, thats part of his job.

Yes, yes. That's all well and good but the real question stands is Mack more approachable than Von?

Won't matter because JDR won't use him correctly.

Cromartie to Sherman: If you're the best corner, cover the best receiver http://wp.me/p14QSB-9MFK

“Go play in a defense where you don’t have two All-Pro safeties. Go follow the No. 1 receiver,” Cromartie said. “Follow him around for a whole entire game and see what you can do. Darrelle Revis has done it his whole career. I’ve done it, Patrick Peterson has done it, Joe Haden has done it. He’s the only defensive back that hasn’t. There’s no point in critiquing him. If you want to label yourself as the best corner in the NFL, follow the best guy on every single team. His whole thing will be ‘we don’t have to do that, I have my trust in the other corner on the other side.’ That’s not the point. If you want to consider yourself the best, the best do what the best do and they follow around the best. And that’s what we’re all getting to.”

Damn, so Gase was right.
I thought Anderson was around 233 last season, did not know it was 243. That's pretty big for a RB.

The guarantees on Cam Newton’s 5-year, $103M extension? I’m told it’s $60M. He’ll get $30M in the first year.

Give me 30 mil in a lump sum and I will parley that into generational wealth.

he could retire after this season and never have to worry about money and not even touch the principal.

Why am I not worried? I think 225 for him is just right.
He's built like Emmit Smith. Same height and size.

I have no problem with him at around 220-233 or so. I was simply astounded that he was playing at 243.
I think he played at 225 in college. So this should allow him to be more explosive through the line and hold up without getting gassed.

Even 2 mill in a lump sum can be turned into generational wealth relatively easily by reinvesting dividends in solid blue chip companies over a 10-20 year timeframe. I don't understand how these guys end up blowing thru it all...even taking into account extravagance.

They freely spend their principal and invest in friend's and slick talker's bad investments.

If you don't know what you are doing taxes alone will eat wealth in a hurry.

Taxes, supporting family, friends and partying.
It's a pure cash flow issue, spending greater than your income.

It's because most of them don't realize that their career is going to be short, and they aren't going to be sitting on a beach earning twenty percent in German bearer bonds. They don't realize taxes are going to eat up 60% off the top. Hey, I got $10 million this year and I'm worth every penny and will be until I'm 43 and playing in my 15th Superbowl. I'm going to live like a guy who has made 50 times as much as me!

Latrell Sprewell say you are wrong. . 14 Million per year can barely even feed his family.

So you are correct.
