Default Questions about this board.

Hey folks, new to this site.

Quick questions about this board before I settle in. I perused the FAQ, but I did not find the answers to the questions that I sought. Perhaps you board vets can enlighten me.

1) Are you allowed to stick up for yourself/defend yourself from verbal attackers on this forum without being banned? Such as calling someone inept and questioning their football knowledge due to not knowing what a Nose Tackle is for example.

2) If you follow the rules of this message board, do the moderators still find a way to ban you simply because they dislike your arrogance?

3) How infested with homers is this forum? How do Bronco fans that view themselves as realists tend to be treated?

4) How "extreme" can I push the boundaries in terms of verbage?

5) Are there alot of ex-Broncomania posters on this site? I have decided to leave after two years on the site. Steve Harbula's scenanagens and manipulative attitude are just too much for me. I'm sure I'm not alone in that regard.

Thanks for your time and answers folks. -- MUG

Welcome to the board. Best I can say is give it a try and see if you like it. Each board has its own feel and this one is a bit more mature than some others out there. Keep in mind that the general feel here is of PG-13 type of postings and banter. Arguments are fine as long as they dont turn too personal, and for the most part, I think you'll find that the board has a good amount of smart banter.

Other than that, you will find a wide variety of homers, doubters and critics. Just enough to make it interesting

Enjoy your visit.

Self-defense is allowed as long as the conversation does not get out of hand. If your language crosses a line, usually you will hear from a mod via PM.

2) If you follow the rules of this message board, do the moderators still find a way to ban you simply because they dislike your arrogance?

If you follow the rules, you should experience no problems with the mods.

3) How infested with homers is this forum? How do Bronco fans that view themselves as realists tend to be treated?

All sports boards have homers... and pessimists, too. Our community is quite diverse and includes quite a few who could be described as "realists".

4) How "extreme" can I push the boundaries in terms of verbage?

We like to keep the main board PG-rated... ie: safe for work or family surfing. Filters are in place for some words, but again, if a given poster crosses the line, they can probably expect a PM from a mod.

5) Are there alot of ex-Broncomania posters on this site? I have decided to leave after two years on the site. Steve Harbula's scenanagens and manipulative attitude are just too much for me. I'm sure I'm not alone in that regard.

Yes, there are quite a few people who came here from Broncomania... and some still post at both boards. I'm sure you'll find some familiar usernames.

Thanks for your time and answers folks. -- MUG

Geez, you must have had quite the experience somewhere to have all those questions! It's a great place to be though. Diversity is the name of the game here, IMO.

Welcome aboard and have fun!

Yes i am one. WEST HERE! As you know i left that G rated board and fled for an uninfested 12 year old board. And here i am. With all the Manians coming to the site you could say this site has been 'infested by Manians'. I too didnt like Steve. Im glad your here. You have great football knowledge. If you remember the great poster, Rascal at broncomania, he is here as well. But i havent had a chance to talk to him yet.

DBFan4Lyfe here. I also, am tired of the foolish little 12 year old invasions. Along with the people that don't know jack about football. I'm tired of Broncomania, i've been a member since July 27th 2003, and I feel it's no longer enjoyable posting on that board. Then you have people like Broncology, Jared, and Steve who are just plain a-holes. Well, welcome MUG!

Thanks for the replies folks, much appreciated.

My main deal, since I'm extremely argumentative, is being allowed to defend myself from attackers (within reason) without any punishment being unfairly doled out against me for standing up for myself and defending my virtual persona.

It sounds like I'll be able to do that here. See ya'll around the boards.

3) How infested with homers is this forum? How do Bronco fans that view themselves as realists tend to be treated?

Ron Dayne/Don Majkowski

4) How "extreme" can I push the boundaries in terms of verbage?

as long as you censor it no problems

5) Are there alot of ex-Broncomania posters on this site? I have decided to leave after two years on the site. Steve Harbula's scenanagens and manipulative attitude are just too much for me. I'm sure I'm not alone in that regard.

Project86 is the artist formally know as MajikMan7. But Project86 a dumbed down version of the out of control MajikMan7 who is currently rampaging the Broncomania boards

Thanks for your time and answers folks. -- MUG
