Sometimes, getting things to work right does depend on calling it the "right" name, though....(through trial and error and all that)

I've already had my child catastrophe story and I hope its the only one, damnit.

When my son was 3, he decided to take the car for a ride. It was the 4th of July and we were just getting ready to leave my mom's. It was 1:30 in the morning, and we had put the kids in the car and gone back inside for something. All the sudden, I saw my husband go running and yell, "OH ****!" I knew immediately what had happened. Unfortunately, her driveway is just one huge, SHORT hill. He pulled it out of gear and it coasted right down the hill, quickly, I might add...straight into the neighbors shed. It completely trashed their whole shed and the whole rear of my van. He was ok, thank God, but man I was pissed!

Plus, we had to go wake up my mom's neighbors and tell them what had happened. Turns out most of his shed was filled with computer stuff. Oh joy. They were incredibly nice about it though.

It's funny....to this day, no one will leave their car doors unlocked when my son is around.

I would have been fine with all 3 girls. Some days I wonder if he will make it through his whole childhood. The kid really knows how to get to me! Everyone tells me that I will be happy I have him when they all hit the teenage years and the girls start in. Again, that's just something I'd rather not think about right now.
