Colorado vs Nebraska - To Quote, Well, Myself...........
While we're at it, a big "F U" goes out to Kansas State. They may be the finest junior college in the nation, but they couldn't beat Iowa State? When they were up 23-9 in the 4th? YOU SUCK SPROLES.
Back to the hatred of Nebraska, I'm starting this a little early because I may not have access to the internet until Saturday evening, possibly later. The joy of going home for Thanksgiving and having to be on call due to a relative's health.
* Matt McChesney and the other 5th year seniors have a shot at goign 3-2 against Nebraska in their career. How sweet would that be? Almost as sweet as ENDING NEBRASKA'S 30+ YEAR BOWL STREAK. CU is pumped, I know that. Most of the players wouldn't even talk about the KJUCO game, they were already looking ahead to Nebraska.
* Big rumor on campus (and apparently newspapers, not sure) is that Dickie Tharp is gonna resign as AD today. Here's hoping. I thought the AD was supposed to support the program. I know, crazy ideals in my world. It's not gonna solve everything, but it's 1/5 the way there (Hoffman, Bynny, Barnett, Watson).
* Win or lose, it appears that CU is going to the Champs Bowl in Florida. Not sure what the name used to be before it got bought out, sorry. It's traditionally #7 Big 12 vs #4/5 ACC. A week or two ago, the prediction was Miami vs Colorado. Praying that one doesn't happen. Another possibility is the Ft. Worth bowl. I'd prefer the Florida one, even if it is less prestigious. Much rather play an ACC team than a C-USA team. Then again, we could just give everyone a giant mind**** and win the Big XII North, stun Oklahoma (2-0, it's our only hope. One safety, nothing else. Or maybe OU forfeits) and play in the worst BCS game ever against Boston College.
* It's gonna be an intense game. NU has to win to make a bowl. CU has to win to keep their season of redemption going. NU's faithful will be out like always, but I think Barnett finds a way to fire the team up.
