Same thing in MT. Don't worry, one good winter will send them all packing. Here in DC they cancel school for a fart on the breeze. I never had a snow day. And the snow was chest high and I had to walk uphill both ways....and such....

............ Normaly we get our first snow somewhere in the first part of september , and the last snow in the middle of April ........ This year our first snow came 2 weeks before Halloween

I own exactly 0 pairs of boots, 0 pairs of gloves, 0 stocking caps, 0 jackets, 0 coats, 0 thermal undies, 0 anything that you wear to keep you warm.

I just have no need of that stuff where i live. The coldest it gets here is in the mid to high 30s, maybe in the 20s every decade or so. IF it gets down that cold (which even in the 30s isnt often) I dont go outside.

I'd hate for it to get 20 degrees for over a week at your house. you might even run out of food.
