Go to Sam LaGrassa's on Province Street.

They have the BEST sandwiches anywhere......yes, better than any NY deli.

Guy Fieri agrees, btw.

Oh, and too bad you couldn't time the trip for when the Broncos will be in town.....then you, me, Bean and Dedhed could go to the game.
The Wall Street Journal and Esquire both called Bartley's Burgers the best burger in America.

It's certainly the best I've ever had.

I was in Boston last month for a conference, stayed right in the middle of down town. While there, I got up early a couple days and went for a jog. If you are into jogging in the morning, it's absolutely amazing. I ran by the waterside, to boston commons, past all sorts of cool stuff, it's just really cool seeing a major city wake up and all of the stuff that happens at 5:00AM.

My tip: all roads in Boston are one way, and probably the wrong way.

Sam LaGrassa's doesn't do burgers. They do specialty sandwiches.....and they are the best I've had....bar none.

True that. For this reason, I hated driving in Boston and tried to avoid it as much as possible.

I met an executive with the Bruins during fleet week (I was the ships' public affairs assistant, and we had a meet-and-greet/ship tour with the Boston Bruins. A few of them sailed with us up from Jacksonville, Fl to Boston.) For some reason, him an I hit it off really well. When I was stationed in Brunswick, Maine he was always wanting me to come down. He usually put me up at the Mariners House in the North End... or the Holiday Inn downtown. No matter how much I tried, he wouldn't let me pay for the room or the food at the aforementioned restaurants.

I would valet my car and use the T. Went down so frequently that I bought a port and transportation authority pass.

My only memory of Boston was getting flipped off before I even left the airport parking lot. That was 20 years ago.

The only place I've ever been flipped off is Boston, which is quite remarkable considering the amount of time I've spent there relative to the amount of time I've spent other places.

In my travels I noticed that flipping people off back east is a very common gesture and flipping someone off in Oklahoma and Texas will guarantee you a road rage confrontation that most likely will end up getting physical.
