"Yesterday, FAIR released a new study examining the taxpayer burden of illegal immigration in California, which found providing education, health care, law enforcement, and social and government services to illegal aliens and their dependents costs California taxpayers $25.3 billion a year. This is an increase of some $4.7 billion since FAIR’s 2010 study was released. These costs amount to a $2,370 a year burden per California household headed by a U.S. citizen." |

"Flexing its growing clout in Sacramento, this generation of legislators is returning to the 1990s-era fights that propelled them into politics. On Monday, they will mark 20 years since Proposition 187 — the landmark initiative withholding public services such as healthcare and education from those in the country illegally — qualified for the ballot." GEE!!! Nobody saw THAT coming!! If you leftists think productivity flight from California is bad now you isn't seen nothing yet.. |

![]() But pelosi is running around demanding everyone call these kids coming over the border an "opportunity"! Not a crisis.
She is in full agreement of the cartels. Pelosi just needs to dig a hole and slither in it. |

![]() I'll break this down for you since you can't understand the difference. It's the WAY he's using executive order. He's using them to alter his own legislation. If congress won't act its one thing, but when congress passes the legislation he's changing that's totally different. That's a joke. He's used executive order to PREVENT legislation from going through(Rubio/dream act scenario). Then he commands sweeping executive power on some issues, while saying he's got no power on other issues. He's a joke.

![]() It was greatly exacerbated by NAFTA, as this paper points out:
One of the largely overlooked aspects of the North American Free Trade Agreement is the fact that the failed trade pact has been the catalyst for the massive increase in illegal immigration over the past two decades or so. An influx of highly subsidized corn flooding the Mexican market has displaced millions of rural farmers, according to McClatchy Newspapers. Prior to the implementation of NAFTA, Mexican officials claimed that factory jobs would fill the void left by disappearing work on family farms. Mexican officials had promised that NAFTA would result in the “export of goods, not people.” That, however, has turned out to be far from reality. Since NAFTA was signed into law, illegal immigrants in the U.S. has increased to 12 million today from 3.9 million in 1993, accounting for an overall increase of over 300 percent. According to the Pew Hispanic Center, 57 percent of those entering the country illegally are from Mexico. “The numbers of people displaced from family farming were much, much higher than the number of new wage jobs,” Jonathan Fox, an expert on rural Mexico at the University of California at Santa Cruz, told McClatchy Newspapers. Those displaced workers are largely the result of U.S. corn exports to Mexico. Heavily subsidized American Agribusiness not only put hundreds of thousands of American family farms out of business, but also dumped billions of dollars worth of American agricultural products into the Mexican market, putting millions of peasant farmers out of business. http://economyincrisis.org/content/i...tion-and-nafta Turns out that Bubba ****ed us coming and going. But agribusiness in America absolutely loved him. No doubt they can't wait for Hillary. |

In other words, Mexico did jack **** in investing in their own country. It's known that they encourage their citizens to go to the United States for work and they send that money back to their families in Mexico. This isn't a United States issue, this is a Mexico issue. We had 5 presidents, 3 Republican and 2 Democrats that have dealt with this issue and nothing has changed. Why? Mexico. Now, I don't blame families south of the border for coming to the Border, they got mouths to feed etc. but their government needs to take care of their own problems and the only way they begin to do that, is if we put up a border wall to stem the flow of immigrants. |

![]() Mexico is one of the most corrupt countries in the world. It also is number two on the list of most economically unequal. If Bubba thought that was going to change just because he sat down and had a heart to heart with Gortari, then he should return the money for that Rhodes scholarship.

![]() What's funny is Mexicans saying the Southwest US is their rightful homeland. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Mexico became independent from Spain in 1821 and claimed the Southwestern US for itself for 14 years until 1835, when Texas gained independence from Mexico. By 1847, the US claimed all the territory to California after the Mexican-American War. So, California was a Mexican territory for 26 years right after Mexico became a nation. Mexico couldn't hold it as a territory, and no Mexicans lived there except in a couple missionary churches. The US gained independence from Great Britain nearly 50 years before Mexico gained Independence from Spain. The US acquired the Louisiana purchase from France while Mexico was still a territory of Spain. The Mexican people themselves are descendants from Spain (all but 5% of the indigenous population was killed off by small pox). If anything, the Hopi, Navajo, and Apache have claim over the Southwestern US. Not descendants of Spanish immigrants who have never lived there. |
