Interesting that Fox loves Hageman. He's been pretty good spotting DT's and DL in general. I think by most accords, Hageman has had a rough go off the field. Then again you don't really want your DL to be the tender kind.

I'm completely fine investing high picks into the OL/DL every year. Hope these guys are players, we could use the physicality.

A focused Hageman could be one of the very best DL in the league. His physical skills are immense.

I'd rather focus somewhere else, but I could definitely get excited about Hageman.

I'll be honest I don't really want Hageman.... I'm a big ten guy, but I don't like some of the mental/drive concerns...

Would make sense if we need to rotate the guys in and out. He played roughly ~ 55-60% of the snaps most games in the rotation on the Golden Gophers line. Makes sense to be someone we are interested in. Considering the status of Unrien, Pot Roast and Vickerson after this season, it makes sense we could be adding to the depth we have there. What I like about Hagemen is how often he gets his hands up and disrupts passes after they are released. He is a dominating force at times, but not consistent. Will be 24 years old as a rookie. Not sure I want another old DT with a first round pick. Has a high ceiling, but his bust factor is huge.

Here is a link to the story about his journey to the NFL.

Shazier will get consideration from MIA @ 19 "if he is there." -- We don't stand a chance at getting him.

The Broncos draft Sly Williams in the first-round last year, so a heavy rotation will be used if Hageman is the pick. We doubt he will still be on the board.
What a coincidence. I love Hageman too. It's almost as if he's some highly athletic multi front usage DT with DE abilities.

Sure, SJB has size, but he only pressed around 34 percent of the time last season and lacked a physical attitude when doing so. Teams are hoping to mimic the Seahawks defense, but we do not view Jean-Baptiste close to a first-round talent
That is a full round over his value.
Mid 2nd to early third is his range even with his size.

Nope. No chance at all.

Also, I'm sure Elway would tell Peter King (and only him) two days before the draft that "Fox loves Hageman", if it were true. Smoke bomb all the way.

Thats just elway and fox manipulating the draft. Im sure they do like him but I bet they do not have him as their target.

FUUUUUUUUUU Miami!!!!! I want shazier...I doubt Miami would take him. Greenbay will I know for sure. IMO I see Shaz as a top 10 pick. But Miami is pissing me off as I was hoping we could trade up with the cards to get shaz.

Mayock is hinting that SJB is gonna be a late 1st rd pick. I hope to hell Elway isn't buying into this tall CB ****. SJB is a 3rd rd talent at best and would be a massive reach in the 1st rd.

You're right as a press corner or even short zone corner he wouldn't cut it BUT
picture him as a FS in a cover 2 man under D scheme. He has "decent" coverage skills and size all he needs is some MEAN.

more walterfootball stuff:

5/2: The Texans and Falcons will not be working together on a trade for the first-overall pick, per 610 Houston. We reported days ago that Houston wasn't trading the No. 1 pick, barring a Robert Griffin-type deal.

5/6: "Defense, no QB. Been saying that since the combine." - Adam Caplan on the Vikings' eighth-overall pick

5/5: "Information is flying all over the place…Now hearing Aaron Donald to MIN." - Daniel Jeremiah, NFL Network

5/5: The Rams and Vikings have discussed a Sam Bradford trade, according to Jason La Canfora. This sounds fun, but trading Bradford's contract could be impossible.

5/5: The Vikings want a disruptor in the front seven over a quarterback at No. 8, according to Peter King.

5/6: "Several sources tell me Baltimore Ravens covet Eric Ebron in round one- could be there for them." - Tony Pauline

5/3: "The Ravens would take Clinton-Dix at 17 if some other players are gone and they don't trade back." - Matt Zenitz, Carroll County Times

5/5: Andy Reid "really likes" Brandin Cooks, according to Chris Mortensen.

5/5: Derek Carr's name is a "name you hear affiliated" with the Chiefs, per Chris Mortensen.

5/5: "Team that will consider a first-round QB: The Chiefs. Negotiations with Alex Smith aren’t progressing well. Must keep long-term options open." - Ian Rapoport

4/23: The Patriots have met with Austin Seferian-Jenkins twice thus far (Combine, pre-draft visit). Go here for the entire NFL Draft Prospect Meetings List.

ASJ doesn't have any character concerns. He has repented since his DUI.

Sounds like Beckham, Jr. is going to go Top 15, perhaps Top 10. That helps me losing value on Teddy KGB and likely Yankey.

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet

Mentioned earlier the #Jets are looking to trade up. Their target is the Top 10, and I’m told they are very hot on #LSU WR Odell Beckham.

Further killing my initial dream of him on the Broncos.

The lions would be smart to trade down.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are not looking to move up in the first round of the draft.

The Steelers last traded up eight years ago to select Santonio Holmes.

The Steelers have the 15th overall pick in the draft that begins Thursday night in New York, and Colbert said Monday that trading up in the first round is not an option because they traded away their third-round choice a year ago to draft safety Shamarko Thomas in the fourth round.

The Steelers, however, could trade down.

“We won’t be trading up because we can’t,” Colbert said at a pre-draft news conference with coach Mike Tomlin at the team’s South Side facility. “We can still trade down and, with the depth of the draft, that’s a real possibility. Or, at least, it’s an option that’s available to us.”
Steelers looking to trade down

Would be damn near a perfect partner to trade up with.

That is Woodyard all over again. No thanks. Draft a MLB.
Leave Trev alone and let him be a star WLB.

Apparently the Bengals are considering Roby at their selection and a few sources on Twitter state that growing concerns over Verrett's torn labrum will drop him out of the first, despite his quality play.

Ugh! **** Cincy! Roby needs to be a Bronco if we cannot get one of the other top 3.
Assuming we go CB in round 1.
