I like Chinese food but I'm very picky when ordering. Chinese are very dirty people, if a restaurant doesn't keep their bathrooms clean chances are I'm not eating there.

My favorite would have to be Mexican and/or Italian food. This probably has more to due with my ethnicity. Yes, I'm a mutt.

Rootleaf soup and dried Chasuka with wild Hydrogenated Smapp on the side.

With gimmer bush, nothing beats roasting brawballo's over the pit. Yes, ...hmmm.

Many people don't know this, but "sushi" is the Japanese word for "bait."

I'm partial to some good Middle Eastern food.

I work with a lot of people of Middle East descent and have eaten a lot of good home cooked Middle Eastern grub.

There are also a lot of good Middle Eastern restaurants in the Toledo/Ann Arbor/Metro Detroit areas.

I love Mexican food. But Mexican food from New Mexico. Not the crap they try to pass off here in Texas. If red or green is not asked somewhere in the ordering process you are doing something wrong.

When I lived in London Mexican was not an option. I filled the void with Indian and have been hooked ever since.

Outside of that I love the Greek and Middle Eastern spices they use to flavor meat.

Also Chinese sucks. I go to China often and it still sucks over there.

The racism aside. You are missing out. In general the dirtier place the better. Another clue that the Chinese place you're going to is good or not is the ratio of Asians to Caucasians. IE the more Asians there the better.

Italian for me. I could eat veal or chicken parm every day. Also pretty hard to beat just good ol spaghetti and meatballs, or some baked ziti with breadsticks. It's not the most diverse kind of food out there, but I'm ok with that. Mexican food a close second, although like Drunk Monkey stated above, there aren't that many great Mexican restaurants In Texas. (Uncle Julio's in Forth Worth is an exception, IMO) So if anyone has some suggestions for Mexican food in Texas, let me know. Ate Greek food for the first time ever over the past weekend. No sir, never again.

It's interesting to see what Americans view as American food vs. what other countries view as 'American' food. For instance all the brits I know and work with almost always think of 'Mexican' food as quintessential Americana.
