KCdud you did make good points about Alex Smith, and he is good but not elite. But i hate to say it but im gonna agree with this post, i really dont see Alex Smith winning a playoff game for the Chiefs ever. He did in San Fran, but they had an elite defense, and the Chiefs defense is not elite.

You watch your mouth. The Iefs defense is better than the 2000 Ravens, and their first 3 games prove that.

Its okay because I don't see the Broncos winning a SB with that overrated defense either.

What defense is that? The one that has 9 new starters playing that didnt in the Super Bowl? That's 9 out of 11. But feel free to think they the same players.

Whether they become great players remains to be seen in the fall. But at least this team did something about it. Have fun with the idiot cannonball in joe mays though.

same thing with us. Flowers, Hali, Houston all severely hurt in that playoff game.

Sanders Commings (better athletically than the top safeties in this class) was a legit 2nd round pick last year but fell due to an off the field incident.
Vance Walker with 43 total QB pressures last year (basically 5X more pressures than Jackson)

Whether they become great players remains to be seen, as well as draft picks from this class.

Btw-have fun with Rahim the dream.

Acc%: Deep Passing

The Top 10

Deep Accuracy gives a good indication of which quarterbacks were most accurate challenging defenses downfield and, with a big start in limited action in Houston, Case Keenum tops the list with a Deep Acc% of 53.1%. Rodgers is once again amongst the best here, as the only quarterback other than Keenum to finish above 50%. Super Bowl QBs Russell Wilson and Peyton Manning round out the Top 5 along with the surprise inclusion of Kellen Clemens.

Name Team Deep Acc. %
Case Keenum HST 53.1%
Aaron Rodgers GB 52.8%
Russell Wilson SEA 48.3%
Peyton Manning DEN 48.2%
Kellen Clemens STL 48.0%
Matt Cassel MIN 47.4%
Geno Smith NYJ 46.7%
Alex D. Smith KC 46.3%
Matthew McGloin OAK 45.7%
Mike Glennon TB 45.0%

Top 10 in deep passing accuracy? But, but Alex can't throw deep!

Right up there with true studs like Mike Glennon and Matt McGloin, and still behind all-stars Geno Smith and Kellen Clemens.

Awesome stuff.

General Rule of Thumb:

When a "top 10" passing stat only nets 3 above average QBs, throw it out.

Flacco can't throw deep!

I'd be interesting to know how many passing attempts to completions for that highly talented QB list.

I went to the Avs game last night and still feel a bit down. This thread has helped though. Thanks Maners and KCGuy.

I think we could've stopped the whole thing at Case Keenum.

I would bring up losing Charles before blaming the loss on those 3 one dimensional players being "hurt".

Hell I would even break out the kFc fan chestnut "you scored too fast" before blaming the loss on an overrated Flowers, and 2 pass rushers who have about 1.5 pass rushing moves being "hurt".

28 point lead deep into the 3rd quarter, all the great Alice Smith's O had to do was protect the ball and play their short game instead of trying to throw deep balls to overrated WR's who are known to drop a lot of passes.

After the last kFc TD the O put up the following:
Fumble
Punt
FG
Punt
FG
Downs

The dominant D even got an INT in the middle of all those Indy TD's yet they couldn't seal the deal because they suck on 3rd down and in the Reid Zone.

Always a great laugh when mongoloids like brokebacksteven try to pin losses on an offense that put up 44 points with no RB's left and the #2 WR out of the game.

I've asked this before, I'll ask it again:

If everybody's healthy, is Kansas City a better football team than Denver?

Yup, but judging by last year not by much. Only a 17 point difference in 2 games.

As soon as Manning retires it's all over.

Unbelievable. Denver sweeps KC and wins 2 playoff games and you answer that KC is the better team??

Worry about actually beating manning at least ONCE before you claim they are better.

My bad I misread the question and thought it said is Denver better.

Denver is better, only because of Manning. That's literally it.

Just to stir the pot a little, how many people think that Manning will play at a higher level longer than Charles does?

I had to re read his post to make sure he didn't say Denver first. Your post makes more sense now. You can say that about a lot of teams with great QBs. Hell even most teams. You think KC goes to the playoffs if smith went down early in the season?
