Just listened to that. Very cool song dude. Sort of a different vibe to it with the horns and that base, but pretty damn good sound.

I know it gets sloppy and there's going to be alot of bands and songs that are sorta cross over and some that others think are classic rock but they're really not. Take a look at my current list and if you can suggest something I don't have, please do so. That's why I posted this hear. FYI - don't suggest bands like Styx, Foreigner, Journey (most of it anyway), Boston, etc. That's NOT classic rock. That was the next era following classic rock, and yes some of the songs do crossover so that said, let's hear what you have. Oh yeah, and even though much of Zeppelin, Aerosmith and things like that I don't consider classic rock. They were too much of a niche sound (although F'n fantastic) and I don't consider classic rock. Just listen to some of the songs below and you'll know that sound I'm going for. One of my all time favorites. But that's not classic rock. They're too unique to be classified in that group, and trust me, that's not a knock on them at all. This is what I tried to state at the beginning. The lines will get blurred some here. But if I listed everything that everybody considered classic rock, my f'n list would be 5000 songs long. I'm just trying to make a great list and keep it under like 200 songs.

Things I have learned from this thread: Zepplin and Floyd are not considered classic rock, but Sam and Dave are. Neato.

Glad you finally got educated on those facts. Now be a good little doctor and run a long, you're probably late for your cribbage game, hahaha.

This must be the Bizarro World list. Led Zeppelin & Aerosmith are not classic rock, but Bay City Rollers are. BRC's are what we used to call bubble gum music.
They are on the same level of pop that Donny Osmond is.

Struggling with the Zeppelin being out and Fleetwood Mac being in. This is more like a 70s pop-rock list

Totally confused by what the OP is looking for, so I'll just make a list of songs that probably wouldn't make the cut, on top of everything Zeppelin and Floyd...

I don't give a rats ass if some of you disagree with my views on this. I knew it would happen, that's how this place works. So now that you've came here and commented on your disagreements on the songs some of are discussing, you can feel free to visit all the other threads on the forum and leave this one, and let the rest of get to business discussing what I'm looking for. Thanks again to those helping contribute. To those that are not, get over yourselves. Not everybody shares the same opinions as you do.

I was thinking the same thing about Ventura Highway. Maybe it's all inclusive with "soft rock" or all of it is. Because, damn it, there is no Led Zeppelin!
