Considering Kentucky is our LB farm system, we will probably get Williamson.

I feel like we are going to barely miss out on some awesome prospects. My absolute best case scenario draft goes something like this:

1. Ryan Shazier LB Ohio State
2. Donte Moncrief WR Ole Miss
3. Jackson Jeffcoat DE Texas
4. Ahmad Dixon S Baylor
5. Brandom Thomas G Clemson
6. Derrick Hopkins DT VT
7. Avery Williamson LB Kentucky

Thanks. This draft is so loaded I think we'd be hard pressed to screw it up.

Chances are pretty high. It's weird that Kentucky linebackers aren't more highly coveted.

Wouldnt mind that at all but 3 LB's?

I'd go CB in Round 2 instead of KVN.

Dont think some of those players will be there (Thomas, Telvin, Williamson)

A little of both. I don't think that Ward (Jimmie) is going to come in and play to the level that Moore was playing at last year.

ps- I don't own an "off".

I don't see much when I look at the Broncos linebackers. I think the only safe players right now are Von Miller, Nate Irving, Trevathan and maybe Steven Johnson. Only Miller and Trevathan are going to start out of that group unless Irving makes huge strides.

I don't think Van Noy will be there when we draft (I hear san diego loves him) but he can play any linebacker spot.

I don't think Telvin will be there either but I honestly see him as the next Kam Chancellor, not necessarily a linebacker. I would be happy with him as our second round pick but I just don't know where teams want him to play so I feel his value is all over the place.

Williamson may go higher than the seventh but Trevathan went 188th overall and played a more coveted position and was also more productive. So who knows.

Who do you like at CB in round 2? The ones I'd be happy with are Philip Gains or Dontae Johnson. (especially Johnson).

I love Matthews as well. I just think Moncrief has the higher ceiling. I'd be happy either way.

Good point on LB, but i would throw McCray in the mix as well.

I prefer to go CB in the first although it's unlikely any of the CB's except maybe Verrett is there. In the 2nd, i like Roberson and Purifoy from Florida.

Telvin is an interesting prospect, not sure how we'd use him.

Could be right on Williamson but he's getting some steam, would be nice to go back to the UK tree again.

If we just want a slow dback I like lamrcus Joyner over those two. He just plays mean and will do well in the slot. Purifoy has too many issues IMO.

Any Bronco fan with Shane Skov on draft board doesn't know the team very well or see it's direction.

There is 0 chance that a non coverage linebacker will be selected. Broncos will look for a middle linebacker most scouts say would be better one the weakside. Just how it is.

Thats why they like Mosley his specialty is coverage. They will sacrifice run stuffing for coverage and backers who can get deep!

Mosley is exactly what we need. He's great in coverage, no false steps in the run game, and superb ability to fight through blocks.

But yeah, there's 30 picks ahead of us.

I'd agree with that.

Guys like Williamson, Shazier, Mosely, Christian Jones, Telvin Smith, even KVN are guys they'd target over LB's like Skov, Borland, etc.

Pissed- I did my 7 round mock last night with write-ups and alternatives to every player, and when I hit submit, the interwebz ate it, so here it is in short hand.

1-Ryan Shazier, LB, OSU
2-Joel Bitonio, OL, Nevada
3-Jared Abbredaris, WR, Wisconsin
4-Walt Aikens, CB, Liberty
5- Jerrick McKinnon, RB, Georgia Southern
6- Denicos Allen, LB, Michigan State
7- Hadji NDaiye, DE, Nebraska-Kearney

That's a top quality draft right there. McKinnon in the 5th would be great value

I like him or Casey from Arizona in the mid rounds

What do you think about the WR from Penn State Allen Robinson in the 3rd?

Jean Baptiste is over-rated, this is coming from a huge Nebraska fan. I've seen him live three times and on TV week in and week out. If Sherman and tall CB's weren't so in vogue right now then he's a 5th rounder.

Somebody has a crush on Moncrief? I think we can get Donte in the 3rd round, scratch Baptiste and pick up a quality player in the 2nd.

McKinnon is my #1 sleeper pick, and I'm hoping he slides because teams haven't seen him as a RB much in college. I like Tim Flanders from Sam Houston, and Storm Johnson UCF as a day 3 RBs a lot too, but I wouldn't consider them before the 5th. I might take McKinnon in the 4th if there is a run on RBs in the 3rd. Ka'Deem Carey from ASU probably goes in the late 3rd early 4th, and I wouldn't take a RB before the 4th.

I like Allen Robinson, but think he'll even be around by the time we pick in round 2, let alone round 3. Abbrederis is a perfect fit for Manning, imo, and a player who I think can contribute immediately to spell Welker, and will be ready to go in 2015 if Welker is gone.
