Heart stops; Mom and Dad never been so scared!
sorry TJ, put it in wrong place =/
Well this three-day weekend started off great but ended very scary. We got our football tickets to the Jags game Saturday, so now we can start making reservations and everything. Then we went shopping for the house Sunday and Monday. The wife was off on Monday so we went around town all day and got a bunch of Care bear stuff for Jocelynís room. Monday night we went over to neighbors house to visit.
He has three boys; 2 1/2yr, 4yr, and 7yr old boys. They are usually very nice to Jocelyn, but sometimes when they donít get there way they take it out on her *btw she is 18 months*. I was in the restroom while wife and neighbor and kids were in the living room. Jaws *her nickname* was climbing up on the couch to be with the boys. Sam the 2 1/2yr old was mad because he wasnít allowed to have something so he kicked Jaws in the face and knocked her off the couch and on to the tile floor flat on her back. I heard her hit the floor while I was in the bathroom. She let out a huge scream and I didnít hear my wife screaming, so I thought she was ok. I hurried up as fast as I could and ran into the living room to see what happened. As I got there I see my wife holding her in her arms and she is crying. Then she tosses her head back to let out a huge scream. As she leans her head back her whole body went stiff, her eyes rolled back in her head, and she stopped breathing! My wife screams sheís not ok, and my neighbor grabs her *he is a nurse in the Navy* and we run into the dinning room. Wife calls 911 and Scott and I look at Jaws. After about 10 seconds she starts breathing again and opens her eyes but is trying to close them again. I take her hand and start talking to her to keep her awake. Scott checks her eyes and ears for blood and to see if her pupils are dilated. She wakes up and starts to cry. He tells us to drive to the Navy hospital, which is 4 minutes from our house, because it would be faster then waiting on them. We leave and he calls them to let them know we are on the way. Well, she checked out fine and we waited for two hours to make sure she wasnít vomiting or bleeding or loss of balance. We stayed up with her all night, checking on her breathing every 10-15minutes and waking her up every two hours. We took her back in Tuesday for a check up to make sure. Everything is fine so far, they think the wind got knocked out of her and she was trying to cry and didnít breathe so she passed out.
All he did to punish them was send them to bed. I am still beyond pissed off; I will NOT let her ever play with them again. If that were my child I would at least do something! I understand that accidents happen, but they are mean to each other and I have put them to bed before for kicking her or pushing her down. I donít know, I just think they should do something!
