I love it when NFL players get all butt hurt when competition comes in (e.g. Franklin). Like it isn't in a teams best interest to get the best out of you and your competition.

Seems like he's got a little bit of scared J Martin in him.

An under appreciated signing.

Even if he doesn't win, the competition will make the position much stronger.

Elway owns FA.

Man Ram was a great C last year. He wins the job easily again in my opinion. The fact that the Broncos lowballed Montgomery the first time tells me the think of him a depth. Lol at Lammey's reasons Man Ram won't start. "Look at any tape of Man Ram blocking JJ Watt and you will see his deficiencies." Give me a break Watt looks everyone look bad and he cherry picked 2012 game where Manny was killed at G. I don't like many as a starting G but he is one of the better C in the league.

Montgomery was signed because the FO beleives he can push manny for the starting job. ManRam is a better back up than full time starter, imo.

I assumed Montgomery was depth for the interior OL (G or C). Schofield depth at swing OT. I think Manny is entrenched at C and I don't know why ppl seem to underestimate him there. He had a very underwhelming 2012 at RG, but I thought he was fine at C last year.

Pretty much this.

Provided health, Manny should start, he wasnt perfect but he did a solid job all things considered.

I think manny is starting too. If you listened to Adam gase's interview with Drew Scott and sandy on the fan last week, he made it sound like manny was starting. It seems like they really like His size. He mentioned that with franklin moving to left guard, the size of the interior with Orlando, manny and Louis will be more formidable.

I thought he did a good job last year considering it was a position switch. And peyton seems to really like him.

I don't think he wins easily at all.
I think RT and OC will be the most highly contested battles in camp.

I think ManRam wins it pretty easily. But really, Im surprised youre not backing him more considering you were one of the first ones on here saying he could win the starting job last TC. I remember basically calling you nuts. Pretty funny looking at it now.

I may have said it wouldn't stun me to see the Broncos go that route. But I definitely was not on board with him as a starting C. I was hoping Lilja would beat him out.

Denver is pretty happy with ManRam. They offered Montgomery a cheap deal he didn't take it and Denver moved on. Once he saw that he wasn't getting any better offers he came back to original deal and wad signed. Denver didn't really bring in any other C which shows they are happy at C. If Montgomery beats him out so be it I just don't see it happening. Montgomery is very average from what I have read about him.

When Denver is pretty happy with a player they don't bring in competition for the most part. They focus on other areas.
They have brought in guys to compete with Manny every season since he moved to OC.

Every season? You mean last year when Koppen and Walton went down and Denver brought in a couple guys and Manny beat them out never playing C before in NFL.

This is his 2nd year exclusively at C.
They have brought in a C to compete with him each season.
Obviously they aren't sold on him.

Montgomery is not beating our ManRam
I really don't know where this idea came from

ManRam played pretty well for us and Montgomery is a journeyman/below average starter

He is versatile, so that is why he was brought in

So this is his second season at C. Lilja out of retirement last season, Montgomery this season.

So once again... EVERY SEASON SINCE HE MOVED TO OC.

You're just repeating yourself in denial. Since I know the facts - and obviously you don't - how about you answer...

Exactly who did they bring in to compete with Manny last season when he was "moved to OC"?
