I feel dirty.
What funny is - I didn't even have to check pricejj's spread sheet - but I already knew (from reading) that Chiefs had 4.5m left to spend in FA and Chargers had 3.7m to spend in FA. It wasn't specified in the tweet - but I've known this from reading articles previous days.

So I already knew that $6.8m number from the Broncos was insinuated to be cap left to spend in FA.

I'm assuming all of rookies will count against the cap?

I'm just using the numbers that are given on his spreadsheet, I'm not assuming ****.

Why do I care? Because I care about misinformation? Are you cool about misinformation?

If you don't understand that comment, you need to go read up.

So you are upset that his numbers may affect your armchair GM decisions...got it.

it's not the cap that is impacting the broncos FA moves at this point...it's cash flow.

if the broncos wanted cap space they have some players they could easily cut

Funny - actually if, YOU read earlier in the thread - you'd see it has nothing to do with me... my thoughts on all this salary cap BS is entirely different from what you perceive.

That doesn't even belong in this discussion.

But it's funny how you're one of those cash flow people

Do you have the Broncos financials to know their cash flow?

you say we have $4.99m left in cap..and this takes into account rookie signings.

ESPN says we have $6.8m left in cap.

You say that our rookie signings will account to about $4.05m (this obviously doesn't include UDFA)... so even if you take $4.05m off the ESPN number, are you even remotely close?

Yo action. It's top 51 contracts. Let's say the Broncos have $6.8M in total cap space remaining.

Now, let's say currently the bottom 6 (of the top 51) contracts all add up to$2.24M. After the draft, the Broncos draft 6 players whose salaries add up to $4.05M (and each one is higher than the current bottom 6 salaries). That means that the draft picks would displace the current bottom 6.

The Broncos would only lose $1.81M in cap space (the difference between the previous bottom 6 and the draft picks). Therefore, the remaining cap space goes from $6.8M remaining cap space, to $4.99M remaining cap space. Get it?

(I just added Winston Justice to the spreadsheet, so the numbers are a little different now)
