It's McCray. Lerentee McCray. But I also flip those all the time and call him Lerentay McCree.

I think he's more of a FS, right? And Ward a SS?

We were trying to get in on Byrd, yet Price thinks Moore is a 100% lock at FS.

Hard to be thought of when you spend every yr on the injured reserve. Move on and get a new vet to replace adams. I'm sure some nice older safetys and WR will shake loose after the draft. They always do.

early in FA Elway looks for studs, later he looks for bargains. Seems like he has a simple but aggressive approach that makes it look easy.

Better to spend 10 mil on Ware then save 3 mil and get an avg player. He's smart and remembers when he won it all it was because Shanny loaded up in FA and trades.

Zimmerman, Schlereth, Neil Smith, Perry, Crocket, Romo, Griffith etc.

I saw him listed as a Strong Safety. My apologies if he's played both.

Either way....I still think Moore's the man. Young and was steadily improving. Of course they looked at Bryd...that's their job. There's no one else that's enough of an improvement over Moore in FA to spend the money though.

He always played FS in Miami, but it's all good bro.

At the moment I'm not sure who would upgrade Moore at FS from free agency, that of course depends if Moore returns to previous form. He wasn't really improving in my opinion, but if he is our starter next year, I hope he improves.

I fully expect someone to compete with him, if that's Carter, a draft pick, or free agency.

I think Moore will have a good year. He's in a contract year. If Eric Decker and Knowshon Moreno are any of indication of how motivated players can be in contract years, I think that bodes really well for us.

That said, I hope they bring in a quality backup that can legitimately compete for the starting FS spot. Light a fire under Moore's butt the same way drafting Ball lit a fire under Knowshon.

Ideal situation for me is that Ha-Ha falls into our lap-lap at #31. Yes, I don't trust Alabama players, but it's be worth the risk there - he'd be BPA and plays FS. Doubt he makes it that far, but I can hope.

I have been forgetting about him (not as memorable of a name? ) I would be happy with either. Still don't see how either falls to us, but you never know.

It worked for Julius Thomas...

I never saw anything I liked from the little I have seen Q Carter play but as it has been pointed out they do keep him on the roster for a reason.

We also kept dudes like Wesley Duke and the stoner TE Nate something around hoping they would blossom into real players as well.

Some guys do take longer to develop, injuries are obvious set backs, but imagine if we hit on Q. Carter, McCray, Q. Smith, CJ Anderson, over the next year or 2! This team would be stacked deep.

It's hard to say, some of the teams infront of us who needed a safety added one. One will more than likely be gone, it's possible the other is hanging around. If we went after Byrd, I expect we will be in the market for competition at the least.
