Yeah I remember when he would come on here and call people idiots because they were discussing whether Kuper's injuries to his ankle were becoming chronic. He railed against then saying they were stupid and didn't know what they were talking about.

That is money well earned. Prater is 13 for 13 on game winning or game tying kicks or something like that.

Yes, of course. What would the Broncos do without the 3rd highest paid kicker in all the land? Rounding out the top 10 highest paid are Britton Colquitt, Jacob Tamme, and Joel Dreessen.

All stellar contributors in their own right.

He is the guys dad, and this forum has a tendency to be pretty harsh in their opinions. I would have been disappointed if he didn't do that.

He let the team know last week... I will definitely be around. I have met some awesome people associated with this team and website. Thanks to all of you, I will remain a fan of this team which is kind of a miracle in itself. As far as defending my son and the rest of the team, I stand by pretty much everything I have posted but I can't be right every time. Go Broncos!!

He was my favorite when healthy, and impressed me even more when injuries took over. Dude has heart and determination which more players in this should have. Best wishes to your family dad.

Thanks for your contribution to this board and raising a class act of a son. He was a hell of a trooper and a great lineman. Its not everyday that you actually can get insight from a family source on a board like this.

Thanks! We appreciate the support... He has been approached about coaching and is looking at his opportunities..

The SB was tough but our family had a wonderful time meeting Coach Fox and others we hadn't had the opportunity to meet.

He was a groomsman in Brady Quinn's wedding last weekend, so he is doing ok with the change in his life... Probably better than his pop...

Not free agency, but Josh McDaniels also liked to get rid of successful players and coaches this time of year. Cutler, Marshall, Nolan all come to mind. Hopefully this year won't be the most traumatic offseason we've endured, and hopefully it works out for us a little better this time.

Brady Quinn got married? To a woman? I kid, I kid.

No but seriously, thank you for posting here and thank Chris for being one of the toughest guys I've ever seen play. We loved having him on the team and we've enjoyed you here on the board.

I hope Chris really can find a way to let it go. Guys who end their career after severe injuries and/or being released have the hardest time truly letting go statistically. Very few guys are OK with letting it go once the next season camp starts and they are not around the team.

Coaching is a good way to go back into football and make a difference as well. I hope he really has a solid plan and has some capital left over from his career. Good Luck Kuper family!

No need to worry about his finances... The kid definitely is way better about saving money than his parents. But he hasn't had to support a kid through all of his endeavors in order to get them drafted into the NFL.. I wouldn't change anything because it's been a pretty cool ride.. He's ok about his issues and it's probably a mixed blessing because he's had some concussion stuff and if his ankle didn't make him stop he would still be banging his head. I want him to be able to walk his daughter down the aisle in 20 years or so and not be busted up like his dad who kept playing till he was 35 and is paying the price as we speak.
