I like Wilson too. I think he is going to have a long and successful career. But you cannot compare players from different eras when the game has changed so much. QBs are more protected than they were during Elway's career. WRs have more latitude and are more likely to get a D PI call now.

The offensive coaching mindsets have changed too. There is more leeway to a mobile QB attack now that didn't exist under Reeves for Elway.

In 1986 you couldn't say Elway was better than Bart Star. In 2014 you can't say a Wilson is better than Elway. You can compare contemporaries much more easily than people from different decades. Its like arguing whether Merriwether Lewis or Neil Armstrong was the better explorer.

Armchair Bronco dared to say something negative about the Broncos, therefore according to some punks on this board like Son of Lang, he's a troll.

Wilson clearly has the arm strength of a young John Elway and the smarts of an experienced PFM along with the legs of the best dog killer around.

We are doooooooooomed. Dooooooooooooooomed I say.

It's more that all he ever does is post how great the Seahawks are, while paying lip service to the Broncos.

I always liked Elway... A great competitor, leader and tough SOB. Same things I liked about Steve Deberg.

What kind of place is Seattle? The weather is so bad, people just stand around throwing fish at each other. I spent a couple of weeks up there once. Had to check my back in the mirror to make sure I wasn't growing moss. That's why the fans make so much noise. If you just sit there in the drizzle, mushrooms grow out of your ass. You've got to keep moving.

Don't worry, Sea1983! We got this! You seem like a level headed guy. Ignore the ignorance and press on. Good luck to you and the Seahawks! Game on!

I miss the good old days when the Seahawks were in the AFCW. I could pencil in two wins at the start of every season.

Yes, before Paul Allen bought this team we had a terrible product. I used to mark down 8-10 losses before the season started..

Seahawks only historical claim to fame is Brian Bosworth.

Your opinion is that a 2nd year player makes better decisions with the ball than John Elway and Peyton Manning.

A lot is made of Denver's offense vs Seattles defense. But it kind of seems like the other sides of the ball for each team is overlooked.

Wilson has flatlined in recent weeks. He came up big in key moments last week though. San Fran kind of seemed like a team that was better if not for making more mistakes. But they count and Seattle cashed in.

It will be interesting to see what Seattle does if Denver gets up a couple of scores. Would they panic and run Lynch less?

As much as ever, Denver really needs to play a clean game.

This! Elway took some pretty lame defensive teams to 3 AFC titles and played in 5 superbowls in his career. 2 NFL Championships. How can you compare a 2nd year QB from a different era to the best ever IMO. Elway knew one important thing . . . . . . How to win!

One of the funniest plays I remember is Bo Jackson running right over Bosworth like he was a throw rug.
