The NFL investigation determined Steve Scarnecchia took a six-minute video of the walkthrough and presented it that day to McDaniels. The coach declined to view it.

There you go. Why didn't McDaniels turn him in? Immaturity and the fact that they were friends.

Video guy was probably a dumbass, and maybe the fact that the game was in UK made it that much easier to record. I don't know, there are too many variables involved and unless you're directly in the situation, you'll never have enough facts.

It would be funny to see him go to Cleveland and prove once and for all to anyone who ever believed in him that he sucks.

Well obviously considering he also got 2 first round picks on top of Orton.

The point is this, he left the organization in a far worse spot than when he got here. On top of that he got caught for cheating. On top of that, he wasted a 1st round pick on Tebow. The list goes on and on and on.....
Far worse? I wouldn't say so. We had a better foundation than when Shanahan left, with a better coaching staff.

Record may not show it, but winning a playoff game the year after and 3 straight division titles might. Yeah - Manning. I wonder what John Elway's key selling points were?

Probably DT and Decker along with McCoy working with him. I wonder who brought all three of those guys in Denver...

I would think this season would prove something, but I guess facts mean nothing to Broncos fans.

And the historic comeback of 24-0 at halftime AGAINST THE BRONCOS. But I guess Broncos fans just ignored the fact that he was coaching the offense.

Yeah, thanks to a bunch of short fields off Broncos mistakes and complete chaos in the secondary once DRC went down.

They had like one decent drive the whole game, and their biggest pass play came off a pick that would make Charles Oakley cringe.

McDaniels can also be credited with bringing Elway back in the fold. He's invited John Elway out to training camp a number of times. Also during training camp, McDaniels made the players go over to the ropes and sign autographs, mingle with the fans that were baking under the sun. His drafting got significantly better as he had more time to prepare than his first draft.

That being said, McD micromanaged everything, that was his downfall in Denver but its Bowlen's fault mostly for not having a real actual General Manager to support McDaniels, hence the bad trades. Bowlen promised this to the fans when he canned Shanny, the HC would no longer run everything.

Very good point. A 32-year-old should NEVER be given HC and GM responsibilities for an NFL franchise, and it wasn't McDaniels fault for accepting. (hell, who of us WOULDN'T have jumped at the chance?)

Seems quite silly on Bowlen's part, in hindsight.

Without McDaniels there is no Von Miller or Peyton Manning.

Dude, you're making no sense at all at this point -- are you actually Ben McDaniels?
So in your mind Broncos would have been better by keeping our 2009 Brandon Marshall, forego on two 2nd round picks and pay him 47 million dollars?

Marshall was a diva, that Kyle Orton, Champ Bailey and Brian Dawkins had requested should be inactivated in week 17.

This was the Dolphin deal...

The Denver Broncos have traded wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the Miami Dolphins for second-round draft picks in 2010 and 2011, the Broncos announced Wednesday.

Marshall and the Dolphins subsequently agreed on a four-year, $47.5 million contract extension that includes $24 million in guaranteed money, according to a league source. The deal includes close to $29 million in the first three years of the contract and makes Marshall the highest-paid receiver in NFL history.

But yeah, why would any Denver fan in here laugh at the idea of the guy having another chance to raze another franchise?
Offcause the results of 2010 had nothing to do with our two highest paid players Dumervil and Clady getting injured, loosing our top 4 RB's, at the same time rebuilding the O-line....

We had no pass rush what so ever without Doom, and that was the single biggest difference from the 2009 team that played excellent defense for the first half of that season.

Quote:
Elvis Dumervil's season might be sacked by a torn chest muscle.

Two weeks after he signed a lucrative contract extension, the Denver Broncos' Pro Bowl linebacker tore a pectoral muscle and will miss significant time, a source with knowledge of the situation told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora on Thursday.

The muscle is expected to take at least four months to heal, meaning Dumervil, who led the NFL with a Broncos-record 17 sacks last season, could miss the entire 2010 campaign. The injury typically requires surgery, which The Denver Post reported Dumervil likely will have.

Broncos coach Josh McDaniels said the team is evaluating courses of treatment for Dumervil.

Dumervil, 26, parlayed his breakout 2009 season into a five-year, $58.332 million contract extension that included $43.168 million in guarantees against injury -- a record for a player at his position.

"Nobody is going to replace him as an individual," McDaniels said. "We know that. We're not going to try to do that. So with that being said, this is just another adversity I think that as a team, as an organization you have to face.

Without Dumervil, the Broncos lack a bona fide pass rusher. Last season, defensive lineman Darrell Reid had four sacks, the most of any other returning Broncos player. But he's sidelined with a knee ailment and hasn't participated in training camp.

Training camp has certainly started badly for the Broncos.

On Thursday, the team placed wide receiver Kenny McKinley (knee) and safety Josh Barrett (shoulder) on injured reserve, ending their seasons.

The Broncos lost their top two tailbacks, Correll Buckhalter (back) and Knowshon Moreno (hamstring), on the first day of camp. Moreno likely will miss the rest of camp, and Buckhalter is expected back next week.

Inside linebacker D.J. Williams and safety Brian Dawkins have missed practice time, too. No reasons have been given for their absences.

Denver already was without All-Pro left tackle Ryan Clady as he recovers from a torn left patellar tendon that he suffered while playing basketball during the offseason.
