I expect Miami to lose an entertaining game tomorrow against Louisville in the Russell Athletic Bowl. Our third leading WR, Herb Waters, is out, and our leading receiver, Allen Hurns was in a walking boot today. Allegedly that's precautionary and he supposedly practiced all week, but I haven't seen too many guys play and play well in a game one day after wearing a walking boot. Coley, Dorsett, Lewis and Scott will have to play well. TEs Walford and Sandland will need to play well. UL has a very good defense with alot of South Florida kids. I don't think we can run the ball on them without the Duke. Coley will burn Louisville's DBs a few times, it will be up to Morris to take advantage. I expect to see a little more of Eduardo Clements running the ball with some Gus Edwards. Dallas Crawford is more of a third down back. Morris has to be really sharp against this D or he will get picked off several times.

Defensively, we have to get pressure on Bridgewater. He will carve up our zones. There is no other way. We play a bend but don't break 3-4 zone defense, predicated on making the offense go 10 yards at a time and avoid mistakes, drops and penalties. We have had tough times holding people under 500 yards. There are really only 2 decent pass rushers on the team and both are undersized. This is a tough matchup for Miami. I know Louisvilles OL is banged up and Michael Dyer is out, but I think it will be difficult holding them under 30. I expect UL to finish somewhere in the mid 30s.

SoCal's prediction: Louisville 34, Miami 27

They are interested, but I know Golden will be at the top of their list as well.

Doesn't his contract run til 2020 now though? He's basically got a fully guaranteed contract for 4 years so he might choose that over PSU.
From one sanctioned school to another has to be less appealing even if it is PSU.

Penn St. is his dream job and its about to come open. I'd be shocked if he doesn't take it, regardless of money, guaranteed contracts etc. Dude is a Penn St. guy thru and thru. I wouldn't be surprised if he went to Penn St. even though they have 2 more bowl bans coming up and we are finally free and clear and putting together a monster class....he is that much of a PSU guy.

It will crush me to lose him, because he's a real up and comer. While he isn't the greatest game day coach, he is brilliant at recruiting, building relationships with local HS coaches (at important feeder schools), and all things PR related. Also a very good CEO and runs a great strength and conditioning program. IMO, he is one of the 5 best recruiters in the country, so long as he has strong coordinators, he will have a powerhouse program no matter where he goes.

Defense doing well so far considering no pass rush.

Offense needs to do some work. Stop trying to run the ball. It isn't going to happen.

Louisville 6 Miami 2

A little under 3 hours until Michigan kicks off.

I don't mind the 10:15 pm Eastern Time kickoff, as I'll stay up and watch it, but a good portion of Michigan's potential viewing audience will have taken their Metamucil and gone to bed by the time the game kicks off.

I look forward to next year without Stephen Morris.

He's a dumber Kyle Boller.

That was on our offense. You leave them out there the whole half and the dam will break.

A couple first downs on offense and this never happens. ****ing get it together.

You have to hand it to Charlie Strong for having his guys amped up to play a team like that one.

Wow, they shouldn't even have been in a bowl game. UNC at least beat Cincy.

Everything went to hell when Duke got hurt. We actually beat UNC at their place but everything just went south after halftime of the FSU game.

A disappointing career for SteMo.

Maybe he can eat another Snickers bar in a postgame press conference and tell the media that "you win some, you lose some, have a Snickers" AGAIN.

****ing p***Y

Charlie Strong is the truth. Teddy Bridgewater needs to go to the NFL. But man if he comes back he will destroy college football next year.
Miami badly, badly needs Duke Johnson back.

I can't help but feel this might be similar to how the offense for Michigan looks tonight with Gardner out.

I'm looking forward to seeing how highly touted freshman QB Shane Morris looks tonight.

I'm sure Morris will look raw, but I'd like to see him make some plays throwing the ball down the field.

Bridgewater commits to da U, then changes his mind and goes to Louisville, then makes da U pay.

He's so lucky that he will most likely go to an offense with Duane Brown, Andre Johnson, Arian Foster, Ben Tate and DeAndre Hopkins.
