Congrats to Coach Golden for winning the Lombardi Award for Excellence in Coaching tonight awarded by the Houston Rotary Club and presented by former BYU coach LaVell Edwards.

http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports...e-in-coaching/

Al did tremendous work in guiding us thru the NCAA ****storm the last three years. What he lacks as a game day coach and tactician, he more than makes up for as a master recruiter, CEO and public relations maven. Dude is brilliant in front of a camera and knows how to relate to people and build relationships (especially with local HS coaches).

Actually the commissioner intervened at the last second because he wanted Duke to play in that bowl, so it got switched up.

We are playing Louisville in the Russell Athletic in Orlando. Will be high scoring affair.....prolly a 7 point loss.

Stacy Coley awesome freshman highlights.....with his trademark theme music.

This kid should be a top 10 pick by the end of his junior year. Electric!

Jesus ****ing Christ that's insane. I mean he's a great coach, but holy hell that's just retarded. Calling it now. Dude is not going to replicate his success at Alabama. And honestly I hope the whole thing implodes.

Saban is not leaving. The wife runs that house and she wants no part of moving again.
Plus there is almost no deal short of 12-15 mil a year that Bama wouldn't match.
Texas can't outbid Bama unless Bama simply walks away. There is no advantage Texas has that is enough to stop Bama.

People overrate the amount of money Texas makes every year. Bama will be getting the SEC network money which will be around 30-40 mil a year, they go to BCS bowls all the time which is about 6-10 mil, his wife loves it in Tuscaloosa, he hates doing media and is on record as saying such and he's a God in Bama.

Bama can't match Texas oil money. You can't offer 100m plus some network money. He may or may not stay at Alabama, but if he stays it won't be because he had a better offer there.

Next year, my boy should actually be in the action and i'll probably be more emotional about the result.

Abot the Sugar Bowl, my condolences in advance. Maybe you catch Alabama distracted with the potential Saban stuff, but I think you will swat the hornets nest in that game. I have no love for Alabama, so I actually hope you beat them, i'm just not putting any money on it.

OSU still has their hands full with Missouri, and they will have to bring their a-game to get the win. My son just went to the team meeting yesterday, and the bowl experience itself seems absolutely awesome. One way or another, those kids are going to have an incredible experience.

There is no way Alabama could match any offer Texas offers up, just no way.
And Saban isn't a God in Alabama, he is the shadow of Bryant there still.
He can make his own legend though in Texas...

If Missouri is in your conference championship game, your conference has had a down season.

Out of conference sec wins include VaTech, Texas, and... not much.

Florida and Georgia had down seasons. It just means a new team stepped up to be the whipping boy for the SEC West. The West still has two of the three best teams in the country. Only if Auburn loses to FSU does the SEC have a down year.

Saban agrees to an increased deal at Bama. Still left money on the table turning down Texas.

Wonder if they will still try to force Mack out now.

If so, I hope they target Jimbo Fisher.

I'm beginning to think that Mexico didn't really want to win at the Alamo.

Jordan Lynch from Northern Illinois finished 3rd overall....good for the MAC.

The MAC had the #1 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft in OT Eric Fisher from Central Michigan and then Jordan Lynch from Northern Illinois finished 3rd overall in the Heisman Trophy voting.

Mack Brown will resign as coach of Texas following the team's appearance in the Valero Alamo Bowl on Dec. 30, the school announced Saturday.
