True. He did get a ring in 1999 for the Broncos victory against Atlanta in SB33. That year, he started in 0 games and had no receptions (he was a practice squad player only).

Here's his full resume:

Denver Broncos (1997)*
Arizona Rattlers (1997)
New England Patriots (1999)*
Tampa Bay Storm (20012002)
Buffalo Destroyers (2003)
Carolina Cobras (2004)
New York Dragons (2005)
Austin Wranglers (2006)

* = practice squad only

Thank you, Shannyham, for drafting Sir Mawn Wilson!

Word on the lightrail is that Snyder is the guy who was in love with RGIII and wanted to move up to #2 to select RGIII, mortgaging three 1st round picks in the process.

Shanahan wanted Tannehill at #6.

That's why Shanahan picked Cousins in the 4th round, and that's why he's going with Cousins now, to prove that Cousins is better than RGIII. Is this true or false? I always thought Shanahan wanted RGIII, because RGIII idolized the Broncos SB teams.

Itd be an interesting plot line but I doubt they could really make such a significant trade without Shanahan (and everyone for that matter) on board

Yet you are the one maintaining that Shanahan is still a good coach. Hmm...

If true, it would lend credence to why Shanahan wanted out last year. Hamstrung by lack of top draft picks, while forced to play a guy he never really believed in.

It absolutely does. Tannehill at 6 makes sense too... More of that cutler mold.

Moving up 4 spots to pick a smallish read-option guy, while blowing multiple high draft picks seems like a very Dan Snyder thing to do.

Shanahan doesn't give a **** anymore, and is rolling with his guy, Cousins. He wants to get fired.
Maybe so. But in that case, doesn't this also mean that his plan last year was to play RGIII against Seattle so that the guy *WOULD* completely blow out his knee?

If so: mission accomplished!

If Shanny doesn't keep RGIII in during that playoff series then this is a moot point. Plenty of coaches get stuck with players they initially weren't fond of. They still mold em and make it work to their advatage.
Shanny's idea of a fix was a washed up McNabb, John Beck and Rex Grossman.

The next coach of the Skins will likely jump at the chance to coach RGIII and do well there.

Well, you can't have it both ways.

Last year Shanahan was a good coach, because he brought a rookie QB to a 10-6 record, 65% comp, 20 TD's and 5 INT's.

But now Shanahan's a bad coach because the guy broke the rubber band in his knee, is still healing, had no offseason, and is having a subpar year?

Because we all know RGIII is the biggest issue with the Redskins, not the 31.3 points per game they've given up

A healthy RGIII just put the redskins on his back. It wasn't shanahan.

Now that RGIII is not healthy, shanahan's **** job of personnel and team construct is exposed. Offensive line and defense have always had terrible personnel, it was simply that a healthy RGIII was such a dominant force last year.

Everyone is falling for this rope a dope. The offense is so far from the biggest problem on Washington it isn't even funny. This was a masterful way to completely distract everyone from the worst defense in the league. Where's the outrage about that? That's where Shanhan has failed again...not with the QB (though Shanny's people skills are lacking).

Thank you sir, you get it.

I would pass for 500 yards against shanahan's hand picked group

Eh,in fairness, I think 99.9% want Dan Snyder gone just due to his body of work in DC. But yes, its is pretty split between Shanny and RG3/Snyder.

Anyone who thinks Snyder isn't a meddler is drinking some Potomac River Kool-Aid. I'm not saying Shanny hasn;t done anything wrong but i'm not willing to give him more than 49% of the blame at this time.

Snyder wants to be a celeb. He wants to be Jerry Jones but at least JJ put on helmet at one point in his life. I bet JJ dont get Tom Cruise in his owners box 3-4 games a year like Danny.

I'd give you 250, cause you're RB would be gashing them too.

... Not even close. The harshest critics will usually say he's hus own worst enemy as a GM. His coaching prowess as one of the best is pretty universally accepted.
